Lol I'm doing 20 things at once and I wanted to get some late night gaming sorted later so just checking the path ahead heh! I'm pretty sure the chipset and IGP are combined in one driver as I can't find an entry in Add/Remove programs relating to chipset drivers? Still time I moved on and used some of the latest website stuff, getting lazy in my old age! Thanks for the help all! [edit] Quote: Originally Posted by RJC I tend to...

Difference UD3R and UD5R
Published (2009-11-28 18:34:00)
I didn't think the UD5R existed in Europe, possibly not anywhere. The UD5 will run two slots at 16 or three at 16/8/8, as I believe all x58 boards without an extra chip will do. The UD5 breaks 4ghz consistently, I believe the UD3R can be expected to make it to around 3.8 easily and 4 with effort. However overclocking results will strongly depend on the knowledge of the person working with the board, and on the particular cpu. All...

ASUS or Gigabyte i7 ?
Published (2009-11-28 01:56:00)
I use a p6t deluxe v2, its a bit like my previous s775 p5q deluxe, boringly reliable (a great thing) great bios layout, easy to overclock on, the only thing im wary off is asus's warranty service. But lately ive seen more people on this forum reporting faults with gigabyte boards, thankfully they have a uk centre for rma.

Are you running the latest Audio drivers? The fan is fine, it should automatically speed up depending on GPU temperature.

What are your current RAM timings and voltages? Check using CPU-Z . If everythink is at stock (which depends on the particular OCZ GOLD you bought), then you may want to check each stick of RAM individually ie remove all but 1 stick and run the system, if it works do it with another stick etc.

Apparently asus now have a 5 day turnaround for rma's by going through the retailer you purchased the board from. This is a post from a guy who i think works at the asus uk office. http://forums.overclockers.co.uk/sho...4&postcount =17 Unfortunately i havent heard if this new 5 day service is accurate or not, theres been much debate on various forums about the quality of the asus rma ...
