Oh, I see what you mean. Get the Philips then H-IPS, 24in - spot on. Alternatively, you could look into shipping a 2209WA from elsewhere. Compared to UK prices you are paying £120 over the odds.

If you have 60fps on a 60Hz monitor theorietically the most lag a frame will have is 1/60th of a second and you will see every frame the card generates. It is important to note the lag could be a lot less than this. If you have 120fps on a 60Hz monitor theorietically the most lag a frame will have is 1/30th of a second and you will loose 1 in every 2 frames (graphics card will create the frame but you won't ever see it). If you have...

Getting someone to calibrate...
Published (2009-11-13 01:43:00)
Quote: I use a Pantone Huey calibrator. They retail for about £60 and do a pretty decent job for an entry level device. A nice feature is that you can leave it sitting on your desk and it will automatically adjust the display depending on ambient light conditions. Well worth the money in my opinion. Thanks for the recommendation. I'm wondering whether the untrained eye could see a significant difference between a monitor calibrated by a...

Thanks for your advice. But the Dell just seems so over priced compared to the HP or Phillips. And if I understand correctly, Dell wont swap a monitor if it has a green-pink tint while HP will. Thats pretty key.

there is the potential for cherry picking it with the U2410, and yes, you're right it came from there. not with the 2408WFP i tested though as that was actually bought by a friend and then subsequently borrowed for a while I'll be seeing a totally independent U2410 next week though so will certainly report back if i find tinting issues. i'm not afraid to report negatively about these screens and i've never avoided the truth...

Sometimes TVs have a setting where you switch the vga mode from TV to PC?
Look for something along those lines.
My TV HDMI ports have to be swictehd between TV and PC for V+ and PC plugins, else the sound doesn't work.

No official update, but Hazro have been saying this month (July) would see the updated models released. I haven't heard anything for a while, so I would imagine that date still currently stands. It would take a little time for them to filter through to OcUK though as people who already have monitors that are going to be swapped out are at the front of the queue, or so I've been led to believe....

The Spyder3pro is a good calibrator you can find it around £90 on the internet, calling somebody to calibrate it for you is gonna cost you probably more than that+overtime, as the panel settles, you may need to recalibrate and that all adds up.
The question is why did you go for a wide gamut monitor(U2410)? Wide Gamut is mainly for professionals, no matter how much you calibrate it your ...

NEC has some 24" IPSes at high prices, also input lag is rather high.
And Philips has one harder to find model and also Fujitsu has one 24" IPS.

I bought a 2405FPW and that has relatively high response time and some noticable input lag, I still raped everyone on CS and CSS though
