hi, some people have problems upgrading from one version to another, those should try a clean install. in the programs folder in program files, there should be a 'clean.exe', save that somewhere in another folder, un-install OP, reboot and go into safe mode, run the clean.exe from where you saved it, it will reboot the pc when it is done cleaning out any remnants of the old install that may cause problems. then reinstall OP as if...

I'm glad it worked for you but it's odd and not my experience. Whenever I've had install problems - and remember I do lots of betas - is usually remnants left behind that cause problems but rarely with the install. Possibly you had a corrupted download that caused the problem. I bet that if you download 2983 and install it as an update over the top it will work. I don't mean to make work for you. Yes Manny i did the thing that confuse me first we had the free version in , then we like it , so i brought the lifetime three license then i uninstalled the free version and then try to installed the newest version 6.7.1 2983.450.0714 and it would not finish right like the free version did so i try to do a clean installed and still did not work so i was reading here that what you ask about safe mode so i did that no luck so i did more reading...

Things are layered so many deep, the ads on that page are served by pagead2.googlesyndication.com - allowing this address as well may bring them through, but it seems that page refresh issues can confuse things as well. Allowing ADs for one "friendly" site can be very, VERY difficult, just following through one myself... Gave the site an exclusion, but it uses another host in the same domain... did that one, then it says...

Are you talking about the google ads?
They could be blocked by another prog. On my machines, they are ... by my Hosts file. Those ads do not originate from ccleaner.com, so trusting that site does not allow advertising coming from other sites such as googleads and/or doubleclick.

It is quite sad to see that a great firewall stills has the same bugs that existed months ago, at least with me.
I've already replied one other thread reporting one other error, which I also had (I had two errors with the firewall drivers).
Try to contact Agnitum support. Maybe the information you'll provide will be more useful than the one I had shared.

When you say you did a clean install do you mean that you formatted the system partition and installed Vista from its disc?
I have to agree that it's likely some odd driver involved here but installing OP on a newly formatted machine should really allow Agnitum to determine what driver is involved by looking at the debugging logs. And you're right there are probably thousands of users with ...

yes.
(incoming connections are blocked by default. stealth mode is on by default. system rule can be written to block all incoming to override any auto-generated rules. autogen. of rules can be turned off.)
