Custom Task Request Deployment
Published (2010-01-02 16:41:00)
If it were my project and I had only custom forms to work with, I'd probably try to implement it in a public folder, maintaining the status of work items there and generating notifications, approvals, etc. as needed. It could also be done with one or more message forms to transmit information and generate a custom task item for the recipient, plus an add-in to process status update messages that the task form would generate. -- Sue...

After numerous calls to my ISP who checked all my settings, I called Microsoft and for a service fee of $49.00 they checked my Outlook and my Outlook Express programs. Nether origination could give me a reason for the failure. After two more...

Hi, I am desperately trying to add a new field to an Outlook form. I would like the new field to include one user name and that it will have the same functionalities like any other recipient field (like check names). In addition I would like to set a default value for this field as the current user. Thanks -- snirh http://forums.slipstick.com

If both parties need to be using the same form, then you must publish it to the Organizational Forms library on the company's Exchange Server or, if that's not possible, to each user's Personal Forms library. To store static dates that don't update every time the item is opened, you can't use simple formulas. You need to put code behind the form. For your scenario, I'd use the CustomPropertyChange event to update the date fields whenever the check box fields change.
