With a Mauer victory looking like a pretty sure thing, I was more interested to see where Zobrist finished. I'm disappointed to see him in 8th place. I would have had him second on my ballot. A guy who can play any position on the field reasonably well is valuable. A guy who can play any position on the field with above average defense and do it while OPSing .948 is MVP-caliber in my opinion.

I think a key takeaway from this article is that they're prepared to utilize Wood at third and won't be going after Beltre. From an outsider's perspective, I still think it would be better for LAA to sign Lackey instead of Bay if it becomes an either-or situation.

Wheew, thought it was an arm issue, that would be terrible for them.
