Earlier in the year and even now, when someone asks who the top prep arm is for the 2010 draft, the answer is almost always either AJ Cole, or
Jameson Taillon. I too fell in love with Taillon honestly, and I still do think he is a tremendous talent. But my question is, why not Covey?
I will say that of all the prep arms, I think he will be taken ahead of one of Taillon and Cole, and ...

I'm really hoping for
Taillon at this point, although my expertise is
limited entirely to accumulating the opinions of people whose opinions I
respect and then basically forming a general consensus

Even though you are deep at SP, Jacob Turner should
fare well in Detroit,
considering how quickly they push their arms. He could start in LoA and end
in AA this upcoming year.

I think what you're looking for is commentary on how successful Jordan's draft was/is, as well as perhaps discussing tendancies?
Too early still, but it looks potentailly good with all of the top four picks making or
on the cusp of the majors. Olson got us Pie, so that worked out well. Reimold looks like an excellent pick, and Snyder and Erbe are both good prospects, nearly ML ready, and key...

Thanks for all the feedback... we'll keep an eye on the young men and I know I'd be pleased to see the O's take a shot at them.

Good Post
What jumped out for me is that he had
Bryce Brentz going at #20 and then a run of SS late in the round. Any baseball draftniks with any opinion on whether the SS class is really that impressive?

Yeah, this is one of the guys I think who could be a high
riser before the draft. Right now, he seems like a 20s guy come June. He has two decent pitches and a feel for a third. If he starts flashing better command of those pitches he could jump into the top 10.
