I was saying we have slightly different perspectives of the same thing. I try to see the Bible from God's (Father to you) perspective, not the Bible's perspective (IMHO, the Bible's perspective is the Son's perspective) or my perspective or any of the author's perspectives. The bible is not from the son's perspective. The Greek scripture's were about the Christ, and Christianity through the "good...

It isn't that it matters what others think about us that gets our goat. It is that we all have a thing against rejection. Why? Because we are all part of a whole and that whole is way bigger than any one nation or any religion, it is bigger than all of the generations alive put together. I sort of started figuring it out when I got an autoimmune disease. I thought this is crazy my own antibodies attacking my myelin sheath. Why don't...

I responded from the heart with honesty and authenticity to all of your posts. You suggested that I "figure it out" and that is my intent. I appreciate your willingness to step back and allow productive conversations to flow without further disturbance. Truth rings true in a pure heart. It is in the Bible. It is in ACIM but most miss it even if they are devoted to the Bible, even if they are devoted to ACIM. Blessed are the pure in heart for they shall see... The great misfortune of Christianity is that it lauds sin as inevitable and purity as arrogant. Then how are they going to be able to grasp truth?

Aikawa, where do you live (have you been to Jerusalem?) there is more than enough scientific evidence to prove Jesus arose from the dead {color:#000080}and is living under his own authority {color:#000000} in freedom. Have you {color:#000080}checked to know if there was an earthquake at the time of Jesus's death? {color:#000080}Ai means love. Kawa means river. Is this not true? Is there scientific evidence to prove this is what it means?

Why do people do it?
They are drunk.
Ever hung around with a drunk? They fill themselves with something that alters their perception. Their view of the world becomes narrow and onesided.
For some their drink of choice is alcohol, for others it is a theology or an ideology.
But whatever their drink of choice, it becomes their entire perception. They trade their own identity, for ...

What is the trick of the ego is for those who are not enlightened to see the one who is enlightened as different on the basis of enlightenment. The only difference between the one who is and the one who is not is that the one who is knows there is no difference while the one who is not still sees difference where there is none.
Enlightenment is simply the end of difference, better than , ...

The crucifixion really is not significant in light of Christ's own words:
In Matt 6
^14^For if ye forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you:
^15^But if ye forgive not men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses.
Our salvation is really up to each of us.

Dear Heneini, No one rejects God.. even if one appears to.. the very words you quote even say that. Notice that even in the apparent rejecting are the words from Samuel "who himself saves you from all your disasters and distress". If God is the creator, he in his infinate wisdom, would know that his created would not always be able to do everything perfectly, much like our own children who ...

What matters is what you think, about self....I own my truth...and I believe you own your truth...if you believe others see your beliefs as un-true...look within...and correct your mind...and believe in self... nothing else matters....the opinions of others come from their experiences...not yours...each are different...follow the calling of...

At times words certainly do hurt. Some people here seem to take offense easily. I take offense at times . . . depending on my mood and what is going on in life. How much of your power are you WILLING to give away? I wouldn't put it that way, since it is not a conscious choice, in my view.

Hi qyitestorm,
Did you know I heard about an experiment somewhere (not sure where) in which some plants were exposed to negative emotions and anger and others were not. The plants that were in a peaceful environment thrived. The plants which were in a combative environment did not. So it does really make you think about what we are projecting when we are angry.
I also think a lot ...

Hello ray's1love,
I believe by faith that the bible is Divine revelation that holy men spoke from God as they were moved by the Holy Spirit. Nothing more is requried to settle the faith of all believers; but it requries Devine operation to convince unbelievers, so it is vain to depend on human arguments. The bible tells me that Jesus died on the cross and is risen, sitting at the...
