Apparently, Lou Dobbs is considering a run in 2012 : http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/blog/2009/11/24/BL2009112401589.html Would you ever vote for him? Why?

I am a fan of civil disobedience but to sign this would not be civil at all. First to encourage any type of war is irresponsible. The refusal to obey the laws this declaration call into question has led to the deaths of people right here in the United States.( Reference ) I sincerely think you are overestimating the power of one document. As I am writing the answer there have been 107327 signatures to the online document and although everyone...

No I would not. I had not heard of him but looked him up for this answer. I disagree with him on major issues, although not all of them. He does not seem to have any relevant experience. I don't understand why he would be considered a legitimate candidate. Since he dislikes both major parties, it is hard to imagine him getting far.

My stance on voting for anyone boils down to who is the best option. I find it doubtful I would vote for him. I agree with his stances on offshoring jobs, yet I find that he may be too hard on immigration. I also question his experience. http://www.nydailynews.com/news/politics/2009/11/23/2009-11-23_excnn_anchor_lou_dobbs_is_considering_running_for_president_in_2012.html Yet if my only other choice is Sarah Palin, I would be sporting a Dobbs...

Google is a search engine, and as such, it is an information/research tool. It is NOT their job to police content for me. If enough viewers deem the "monkey" image irrelevant and inappropriate (as I do), then Google's algorithm should cause it to disappear from the search result. If this doesn't happen, then it is a fault of Google's algorithm and technology, not their standards or corporate ethics. The only material...

No, there is no culture war! There are a tiny percentage of ultra right wing lunatics who call themselves christians who might support this, they always try to make it look like there is a larger movement than there really is, with little over 100,000 people supporting this that gives you an idea of how few people agree with this. 4 million people signed a petition for changing the way facebook works, I think this goes to show that people are...

No, Google should not delete the image, but they probably should allow users to 'vote up' or 'vote down' images, like they do with websearches. This way, the image would normally disappear quickly, unless of course many find the image very funny (which I don't) or vote it up in a joint effort to damage her. Google hardly filter pictures at all, unless ...

Nope, I probably would not vote for Lou Dobbs . There are some issues on which he and I agree, but for the most part, I find his views on immigration - which had overwhelmingly come to dominate his former CNN program - to be somewhat despicable. As well, I don't think his personal manner befits a U.S. President; he strikes me as an angry person with...

To answer your 2 questions as directly and concisely as I can: 1) no 2) I think so, but not for that. I don't think that the so called declaration is worth anything, so it won't ramp up any culture war. It only has three statements, one of which seems to contradict the other two because the "right of conscience and religious liberty" seems to ...

I think it would be best if the deer could be transported to a nearby reserve or back to it's native home. I think this has been done previously for other animals that have strayed from their wildlife into urban areas. The trick with this is that if their home is near enough, they may easily return and cause additional problems. So it seems that the ...

I think he was a great vice president even though he had his moments. He seemed to be a rotweiller for the Bush administration and was very aggressive on his viewpoints and intimidating to many journalists and associates. I like him more than Biden or Gore....

I hate to say it but none are completely reliable. To explain I'll take some short quotes from a recent article about journalism and democracy - the link is below. /quote/ "It is troubling for readers that they rely heavily on feed from news services such as Australian Associated Press and public relations operatives working in corporations and ...

The credentials needed to become an American president as stated in about.com are: ----quote-------- Only native-born U.S. citizens (or those born abroad, but only to parents who were both citizens of the U.S.) may be president of the United States, though from time to time that requirement is called into question, most recently after Arnold ...

In a way, Yes, because he wants to charge for the contents of his works on the Internet: However, that is a pretty bizarre idea in itself since nobody is really going to pay to read the online edition newspapers and magazines on the internet. He is walking himself towards a dead end. Therefore what he does would probably have little effect, since ...

As a server/bartender at a variety of restaurants for a number of years of my life I have experienced this and the frustration is causes many times. Guests do not want to be told what they have to tip at all under any circumstance regardless of the number of people in their party. They should not have to. In a perfect world they would anyway. It has not been reported even by any news organizations on the internet, only by other webs sites and blogs.
