How can I increase my salt...
Published (2009-11-27 03:33:00)
There are a few foods you could eat to increase your salt intake without adding too many calories. A low fat cheese, particularly a hard cheese has plenty of protein and salt. A soft cheese would be feta and is also one that's relatively low in fat. Cottage cheese ( low fat ) comes into this category as well. There are table spreads like Vegemite or Promite that are very salty but also low fat and contain plenty of B group vitamins from...

What do you define as Surf...
Published (2009-11-27 20:22:00)
I have worked in restaurants for most of my life and I have always defined Surf & Turf as a steak and seafood entree. The steak can be any steak the seafood can be of any kind. I have seen nearly every combination. My favorite Surf & Turf is a classic. 8oz Filet Mignon with Bearnaise Sauce with a Grilled or Broiled Lobster tail accompanied by some asparagus or corn on the cob and a baked potato with sour cream and butter....

It is easier on your metabolism than high fructose corn syrup (which is a mixture of monosaccharides), and thus a healthier alternative. Albeit, drinking soft drinks is probably not the best thing to do for your health (sucrose or fructose), most of us do like one every once in a while. I have read that they stopped using high fructose corn syrup in cattle feed because the incidence of ...

Here is a new method introduced to process homemade pork rinds in the following source that explains clearly how it is done using Microwaveoven. -----quote----- The puffable pellet is prepared by forcing moisture into the spaces in the molecular structure of pork skins using steam under predetermined temperature and pressure conditions. Uniform ...

I'm a little unclear on what product you have, but I'm guessing you mean sour cream. Sour cream is a cultured product--they add bacteria as part of the production process--so it doesn't have to be unsealed to come back to life, so to speak. If you're not sure how old it is, it's probably best to just toss it. Better to waste $3 than lose a few days' ...

Ordinarily, I'd go to CopyKat ( http://www.copykat.com) to see if they have Cheesecake Factory recipes, but it appears they don't. So I searched on Google ( http://www.google.com) for "white chicken chili" and "cheesecake factory" and came up with the following recipe, which sounds pretty good: Ingredients: 1 large chicken breast 1/2 lb. baby ...

You could add salt to some of your meals, if you don't mind the taste. I don't eat a lot of salt either, but could easily add a bit to potatoes, meat, etc... I found an article that suggested drinking water with a half teaspoon of salt, if you can drink that, it wouldn't be adding any carbs or calories. The easiest and best way (in my opinion) ...

I have made this pie and it forms a bottom crust as it bakes. If you don't like the coconut, you can make it as a simple custard pie using the second list of ingredients. Impossible Coconut Pie 2 c. milk 4 eggs 1/2 c. flour 1 c. sugar 1 1/2 tsp. vanilla 1 c. coconut 1 stick butter Dash of salt (custard pie) 4 eggs, beaten 1 3/4 c....

It would sure seem that way, but no it doesn't. Cocaine is illegal, and is not in any modern-day drinks or foods, though it did used to be added to Coca-Cola (hence its nickname "Coke"). A trace amount of cocaine was accidentally found in a few cans of German Red Bull, but it is not a standard ingredient. Read more about that here: http://www....

I used to drink instant coffee exclusively for years, and the best was Taster's Choice. Then Folger's came out. I still think Taster's Choice has the best Decaf, but Folger's regular is definitely the best. Of course, if you like flavored coffees, International Delights are awesome!...
