My question is where do these cars and engines come from that we never get to hear about on a regular basis? Most of those cars I've never seen before either in sigs or pictures of posters... so what gives? People exist only to flaunt their wares?

[quote=Other 350;502992]Unless the ALDL is grounded properly then it doesn't matter if the timing gun was made by NASA it will still not give you the correct base timing since the computer is still "adjusting" the timing as the car runs. In tank fuel pumps SUCK!
Published (2009-11-08 11:40:00)
Got a question after doing this too. The car runs and accelerates much better after doing this, but it seems to idle pretty rough, or have a miss at idle. I checked all the plugs were getting spark. One of the fuel injectors connector clip is sort of messed up, so I unplugged it when the car was idling. I even revved it up and plugged it in and unplugged it a couple times to see if it would make a difference. It made no noticable difference...

So... I'm the off the wall, out of the box thinker here.... I'd be looking at the transmission. The TC clutch for starters. If that thing is hung up it will give some of the issues you are having. The computer will sense a drag on the engine hence richening it up. A bad transmission will cause you all kinds of issues. Second... has anyone dropped the exhaust and started it up just to see if the cat is plugged? May be another issue....

What to pay for t-top car
Published (2009-11-07 18:23:00)
you can't dispute the fact that t-top cars twist and dont handle as good as a hard top car.. i've got the iroc front sway bar, the trunk X braces,,,etc etc on my SS plus 17 x8 wheels and my 88 hard top cutlass that had stock f41 and 215/65/15's would run circles around it.

Hold something like a screw driver up to the injector with it plugged in and the engine running. Put your ear up to it and you will be able to tell if the injector is pulsing or not.

I have a 99 olds aurora with the v8 walk away from it I have 100,000 miles on mine and loosing antifreeze nobody really wants to work on it. I was told that when you remove the intake the heads pull away and you have to replace the head gasket as well. Also I thought about doing the job myself but have found out that you need some special tools to even do the job, this will be the last front ...

If you can find a T-top car without rust, good luck. I'd guess at least $2.5K.

Often see these people in Walmart not even putting the item back in the correct aisle, but on the opposite side of the store. No, Cletus, the black denim jeans you realized you can't afford does not belong in the auto parts section.
