I just realized, if it's really muddy, the BOB trailer may not be the best idea.

Caesar Creek Trail Day - Jan. 9th
Published (2009-12-23 20:43:00)
Thanks for posting this up. Count me in on it. I also like the start point and direction. Some of the nastier sections are within the first half mile of the Harveysburg trailhead heading clockwise. All of those steep climbs/descents have thick honeysuckle. As for tools, figure a saw and mattock will be the ticket. Hopefully the ground will be atleast semi-soft. Mike

The Dinglehouse it is..and I look forward to it. Just an FYI about the Cock & Bull in Glendale ( someone had made that suggestion)....I went there after Terry, Craig, Me, and my neighbor Steve rode snowy Harbin this past Saturday...Not only a terrific Tap/Bottle selection, also good food & Great JERSEYS...Yep, MTB JERSEYS...(They are short sleeve Freeride/Downhill style). I got one after a few pints...."Influenced by...

Caesar Creek Trail Day - Jan. 9th
Published (2009-12-23 09:28:00)
We are meeting at 8:30am at the Harveysburg Trailhead on Jan. 9th for a trail day. We're going to walk clockwise and take out some honeysuckle. Please bring your own tools (I don't have any extra to provide). We'll be back at our cars by noon. If you hike the trail (or ride it) in the next few days and you know of stuff that needs to be done please let me know. Please let me know if you have any questions.

So is it better to talk about completely removing honeysuckle, or to make a trail ridable. This is not an ideal world. Let bobloblaw wack away. A machete works better than loppers.

Looks like it is not going to be cold enough to ride the trails this saturday morning unless it is a pre-dawn ride w/ temps expected at 32 by 9:00. Any thoughts on a trail day instead Jdub?

Thanks for the help today. With the work today that puts us over 200 hours at harbin. I hope it freezes soon so we can drive all that rock back, I do not want to haul it back with wheel barrels.

I really like the thread going around about the work that needs to be done at Harbin and was thinking we should have the same conversation about CC. I think we've done a great job this year at maintaining the trail. I will try to get out to do some trail work as much as I can as soon as the conditions get worse. What projects can you think of? Here is my list: 1) Keep cutting back ...

Hey Mark - The chance to expand EI is awesome. Will the current entry/exit remain or will it be eliminated? The hill back up is always a challenge and a great way to end a ride. It took me a while to finally be able to climb it and now is kind of a sense of pride each time. Please let us know if we need to send feedback to the parks department. As a Boone County resident, I am...
