Remove frame number magic

Thanks for this post yeahRIGHT! I have been 3 days fighting with this problem and now I've been able to solve it by simply calling the _fireFrameRenderingQueued() request. Thank you very much!

Hi! I have two RenderTargets that are bound in a MultiRenderTarget. Today, I needed to clear them with two different colors (color1 for the first, color2 for the second). I searched a little and found out that the Viewport class (which takes care of clearing the background) is not "multi render target aware". So I tried a few things and eventually got something working! The idea is to create an additional viewport for each of...

We'll probably never support multibyte characters this way, we're just not a text-oriented library. Except for DisplayString (which is UTF), none of the text gets displayed to the user anyway. Ogre's resource system is designed for speed, not language support, I suggest you use another approach for reading your multilingual text.

Oiram, I'm using multibyte in INI files using Ogre::ConfigFile with no problems. Just open a TXT file and set it to "UTF-8 without BOM" save and read as always. I think you don't need ogre resource system.

I just saw that the documentation is actually lying. Code: Select all /** Method for raising frame rendering queued events. @remarks This method is only for internal use when you use OGRE's inbuilt rendering loop (Root::startRendering). However, if you run your own rendering loop then you you may want to call this method too, although...

It comes up now and again, almost made it into a GSoC project this year, but really on its own is not big enough. It probably isn't a huge amount of work, it just needs someone with an itch to scratch to put it to bed

xavier wrote: Why do you need it? Actually I would also appreciate having such a feature in the library, even though it would be slow. Now, I'm looking for a handy rendering library for non-game project, and even several FPS would be pretty ok for it. Has something changed since the last post?

Hi, I use this technique in my Lockenwickler editor. Even for large scenes I have not noticed any lag when executing a pick with my Geforce 8800 GTS. You can find the code in the python-ogre wiki. Porting this to C++ is probably straight forward. http://wiki.python-ogre.org/index.php/C ... ion_Buffer
