guys buy dodges to haul things because they are 15k cheaper to buy up front then anything else...same reason fleets buy freightliners instead of a real truck like a KW....

270,000 miles and it on its second trans that just terrible those things should last forever, and those other things they are supposed to atleast till atleast 500,000 miles . I wouldn't consider a truck that had 65,000 to be new. Same adult driver since new, very little towing and regular maintenance. If talk to any diesel mechanic they will tell you that if you don't use a diesel for what it was made for (hauling, towing) not just...

Depends on the trailer. Look through the classfied ads to see examples. Most of the bolt together trailers have two large bunks standing up on end that go under your main chines. I suggest a pair of flat 2x6s that rest around the keel inbetween the big bunks, and another pair of flat 2x6s at the front of the trailer which rest around the forward portion of the keel and guide you straight on the trailer. http://www.mcclaintrailers.com/...

I may have changed my mind, they sweetened the deal some more. It is $5k plus cheaper than a comparable duramax truck. I'm going to pick it up sat. and test drive it till mon. too see how I like it.

For 30-40K you wont be able to find a low mileage fully loaded truck. A brand new Top-Kick is 80-90K. We have ours listed for sale which doesnt have all the option but we dont need them since we only use it to tow the boats. Check it out.

your dealer has a parts and service rep that works for Ford, only he can facilitate a buyback, the dealer will not figure the trade in, ford will agree to a figure based on mileage and you buying a new ford truck, if it is financed you may do collateral swap and pay cash for the difference or get a whole new note, if no balance then you just pay the difference... the dealer should give you "a,z,...

I built a setup in the back of my truck to do this.......Was given 2 30 gal. drums and a 5.7gpm on demand water pump (like RV's and my water system uses) so my cost was some hoses, wires and a few 2x4's. Mounted the drums on there sides in a 2x4 frame with a pick up in the bottom and a fill at the top of each one. Ran a "T" to the pump so I could pull from one or both tanks. Wired a 7-way round ...

How does your avalance do pulling and why are you wanting to trade it? We are thinking of either trading in our 1/2 ton suburban for a 3/4 ton suburban or if we can find a nice 3/4 or 1 ton crew cab gas we might buy a truck just to tow our boat and keep the burb. We have a Baja 275 and I think it's pushing the limit on the burb.
Sorry I can't help you with your question but good luck ...

GM has some really nice products now. Chrysler, not so much. I believe the truck division was split off so it can survive. Jeep should make it through as well. The car division may be kaput, all depends on what Sergio wants to do with it...
I'm a Mopar man so it really saddens me to see this.
