Yes, we do not need to change the Kad protocol. Just add more things as keys. I think we can defined some text format(xml?) file, we can store more infos here. Then emule read these files(not just file name) to get more keys for files(or this defined file itself) and put these pairs into Kad. We can share these defined files as normal files too.

No it is not cool. More meta-data transferred = more overhead. And veryCD isn't cool either, infact they are very uncool (the veryCD mod is a bad mod (boost by Nickname-Addon) and their easyMule is suspected to be a GPLbreaker).

hmmm... tricky one, this is... in fact, netfinity undertook some changes but those were not in fact changing the protocol but rather the protocol security. nonetheless, you may be right for what the thread starter was aiming for...
