Oh no apart form taking the PS3 apart and putting some more heatsync on your mainboard there is not much more you can do, Assuming you dont have continual play I would advise trading it in and getting an extra 1 years cover bud

how can a dude like muster buster be in charge of the site he closed 3 of my treaths about the b ray failure saying it wasnt the place to post lmao how can tech support doesnt be the right place omg sony u will regret of this cuz ure not listening if it has happend to many ppl it will continue until u accept u made a mistake and u fix and pay this.. i nevr expected to say this but even the great N and the winfow company take care of...

I have tried that with 3 different cards and non of them show the card when the icons are clicked on..   is it a memory card slot fault?

Yes done that and still no luck. Going to go buy a new ps3 slim 120 gb in a bit. Very ***** off. Sony should be decent enough to replace mine but they flogg you off with some other crap. =[

Yes, It is easy,   If you have a cable modem connection, you should never see this error message.    Only most of DSL customers have this problem because you need to get to network settings and set the MTU manually to 1492 instead of the default 1500.   This is should fix this error message.   and also renew your IP adress too   if this help's mark as soultion...

Same problem here - 40gb PS3 bought sometime around launch. It had always been in perfect working order until I upgraded from 2.80 > 3.01, and no it is not a coincidence. Let's hope they do something about this soon.

Do the cards have MagicGate on them, if it says unknown when you press triangle then infomation on the car then they don't and therefore will not work.

That error does seem to relate to a specific blu-ray diode failure (which, actually, is not a message most people seem to get with the f/ware issues )   It does also tie in with your comments about it occasionaly working   The bad news is that it is a hardware problem, which either means sending it back to Sony if in warranty (was it bought new in April?), or sending it back to...
