Basically hook up your PC to the tv, and send a pure white screen (a blank powerpoint slide full screen or something). This peak white signal when left on for a while, depending on the severity of the burn, will remove the burn-in. and strangely, you don't lose any brightness/contrast or...

Basically what you need to do is re-callibrate your TV. The default settings are really. Really. Bad. They have been set up to be 'eye catching' in the show-rooms etc. Its pretty complicated tbh.... You can hire pros to come in and callibrate your TV properly, but thats = £100 or whatever. You can try many different rough guides off google, try googling your TV set and adding 'calibrate' to the search. Have...

No its channel five who are. Their agreement to support PS3 on their web sites Does not come into Effect till 2010 some time, Advert based Ondemand content Will need 100% compliance from Sony and other web based clients that there will be NO way that the PS3 user can buy pass the sponsers adverts. Then Channel five Spends the EXTRA money on building a brand new WEB site for TV based ...

I don't think Sony will implement MKV support since MKV is synonymous with illegal downloading. Also, MKV is a container file, so whereas MKV itself may not be supported, the audio and video streams themselves are. It's incredibly easy to convert. It takes me less than 1 minute to convert a HD MKV movie to M2TS using TSMuxer, and that's on a netbook. Subtitles are also supported in ...

Not sure what your problem is, but for info mine takes about 2-3 seconds at most. Sorry, should have pointed out that I have a DLNA NAS Drive on gigabit ethernet to the PS3 and over power-lines to 2nd PS3. Wireless to 2 media radios. Should never take any longer than this IMHO. Check the settings of the software you are using, perhaps there is something you missed. Message Edited ...

Play with your TV's display settings as most TV factory settings are only good for when they on display in Currys, Comet and so on and not at all ideal for home use where the lighting is so much different. Normally the sharpness setting is set way too high by default, turn it down a bit. Message Edited by PFC_Hudson on 06-11-2009 05:35 PM

Image retention on plasma's are really a thing of the past, there are much less prone to it these days. I have a 50" Panasonic TH-50PZ81 which I use with the PS3, XBOX360 and PC. I use cubase on it for a good number of hours and have never had a hint of screen retention. As for the "game mode" most of them reduce input lag rather than effect screen burn.

http://www. mkv2vob.com/showthread.php?tid=1 There you go. Although, if your just streaming and not bothered about converting to save on the PS3 HDD, then I can recommend PS3 Media Server. This will stream .mkv files on the fly, no need to convert to .vob first. http://ps3mediaserver.blogspot.com/ Message Edited by Stuart1976 on 05-11-2009 05:31 PM

Depends on cost. You can spend thousands or about a hundred. Check out avforums for info and read up a lot before parting with your cash! Look at sites like RicherSounds and PixMania. If you want HD sound then you will want an amp with HDMI in that supports the HD formats you want. I personally have a Sony STR Amp that does DTS for my living room and a cheap DVD all-in-one DVD system ...
