if it's taking a while just leave the queue and rejoin and you'll join a one with more players. also as a beta tester you should be posting stuff like this in the MAG section for the devs to see.

even my friends who are hardcore fanboys of xbox have more sense than this guy. . i got all of them to admit that u2 has the best graphics and they wished it would come to xbox. plus  on of my xbox fanboy m8s said he played mag at gamescom nd said it was great.   this guy is on drugs..   and not the  good kind either    

nope the only way to get faster connection to PSN is to move house, that way the Internet back bone trace route wont go thought the crap bottle necked Network to PSN servers it currently does at your current location. Then you can join many FTTH users getting 100Mb/s from PSN. Thats True Fibre speeds...with real 100Mb/s upload speed as well thats not limited to <2Mb/s..
