Looking at the ezydvd website, it looks like the version of Watchmen being released here this week is a "2 disc director's cut". Which sounds more like the director's cut that was released alongside the theatrical version in the states. I.e. The Australian consumer has just been shafted again. Luckily the US Ultimate Watchmen 4 disc set is region free, so I guess I'll be importing.

Same, got it a couple of days ago. From memory though the back of the box stated LPCM 5.1, but it actually has a Dolby TrueHD 5.1 soundtrack on the disc (then again, haven't checked for a few days so maybe read it wrong.) Still, it's an impressive disc and worth adding to the collection if you went to the concert recently.

Cant wait for this. The movie was amazing. such a faithful adaptation of the graphic novel. Interested to see what the extra footage will be.

Yeah, I just watched it. I watched it 10 years ago and I watch it now, but there was a big 5 year gap or so when I didn't.. and I only watch it when I'm bored.. it's a good show though sometimes, but strangely enough its about 5 times better than the crap American ones. Worst part is, now we have no talk show hosts.. at least, none that I can think of. Need a new one! Hamish & Andy...
