You haven't really provided enough information for us to make a determination of what is really going on. Is it the original transmission, what exactly are your symptoms, is your "D" light flashing (indicating transmission trouble code(s) set? And so on. It is doubtful that new fluid will fix it, although it's not that expensive to try it. Is your existing fluid dark-colored and smells burnt? And having a friend rebuild...

Just a bump to thank you for saving me $600-800 for a new door motor and a trip to the dealer on my 2000 Odyssey. To review the #13 fuse trick: 1. Pull #13 fuse on passenger side foot panel and clean contacts 2. Turn off power door switch 3. Unhook ground cable on battery 4. Manually open both power doors 5. Hook back up ground cable 6. Start up car 7. put back in #13 fuse 8. Turn on power door switch and use the dash controls to fully close...

My 2008 LX does the same thing. It's exactly the same after the TSB "reprogram" as well. Joel

PLS HELP ASAP - Trans code 1750 and flashing D on '02 First I have searched and can't find the threads I need. The code developed this morning. Is there anyone who has handy the thread to the solenoid rebuilds? I NEED to get parts (screens, gaskets, etc.) TODAY and do this this weekend. I would also like the thread to the trans cooler install if anyone has that handy. I may be fishing here but I thought I saw these threads but I may...

I had a similar issue with trying to maintain a constant speed but not to the point of shifting up or down. In my case, the EGR TSB solved my issue and my van is a 4 speed. A couple of things to try: Try a "reboot" of the PCM - remove negative terminal (after you record your radio presets, etc.) and see if that helps the situation. Next, check the owner's manual for shift points around the speed you are experiencing the...

Leave yourself 1.5 Hours just in case but I was able to complete the entire job in 45 minutes. I have to laugh because the Dealer wanted ~$450 (incl. parts) to do the job. That comes out to about $350 in labor. I am so PO'd at the dealer in Paramus, NJ that I will not purchase a new vehicle from them.

1999-'01 had 4-speed automatics which had problems and a high failure rate. Honda did offer extended warranty on these and replaced thousands of them. No real fix known, although external oil filters and coolers have been added by many owners in an attempt to make them live longer. 2002-'04 had 5-speed automatics which had different problems and still a high failure rate. No ...

The price sounds good. What is the warranty? Have you discussed the option of adding a Magnefine filter or cooler? This would be an ideal time to install them. Both would add maybe another $100.

Try idling and warming up with the temp gauge moving up BEFORE driving up the hill and see if it clunks? And how long has this been happening? What about servicing regarding tranny drains/fills. And finally is this the original tranny?
