Transmission Judder recall...
Published (2009-11-10 19:29:00)
My service adviser just celled a little while ago and said that the torque converter is back ordered and they hope to get one in a day or two. I talked to him again about the rear motor mount and he said that they were waiting to hear back from Honda. he said that if Honda doesn't do something, then they will work something out with me on the motor mount.

Sorry guys!! I just cleared out my inbox. Igobuk - The kit you are looking at is using Chinese manufactured bulbs. The bulb itself is not made in Germany like the Philips bulb that we sell. I am not saying that it is a bad bulb by any means. I am just saying that it is not genuine German made Philips. Steve

Thanks for the incredibly prompt reply and info. I just ordered a set of 4300K's because of it. I will give your company a try over the company I was using. If your product is as good as your customer service seems to be, you have just converted me over to your products.

2011 Ody: Hybrid or Diesel??

Drove the 335d few month ago, wonderful car! a little bit turbo lag, but once the turbo kicks in, felt like a V8 gush of power! Plus you can always tune it with ECU again and add larger turbo to get more power. Wish the test car had the sterring shifter and the performance package, but still fun to drive. I believe they are getting over 300Hp tuned in Europe? You can tune the 335d to be close to a tuned 335i, but the diesel engine is going to...

I'd like to know as well. This will be the last time I will buy a brand new Honda. Never had so much bad luck and dissappointment until I bought this van. I now need to make a list of all the things that need to be looked into: braking, vibration/TC, power steering whine, power sliding door seals, wheel bearings....when does the list end? All this on an 05 with ~55K miles.

You don't really say how long you will be there that would be helpful info.
If it is going to be a few years I would stock up on standard maintenance parts (belts, oil filters, air filters, brake pads, wiper inserts, etc.). These don't "go bad" and they don't take up that much room. If your worried about tires throw a set in the car before the trip. They will undoubtedly be ...

Yep, it still has a bit more to go before it's final...but I'm just wondering what typically happens in such cases...e.g.:
a) We each get a share of the settlement (whatever it is after expenses) resulting in a measly $2.32 ($0.58 per tire) after it's divided up among the masses of PAX victims?
b) credit toward another set of POS Pax tires?
c) nothing but the satisfaction that ...

This is why they say if it ain't broken don't ......
The dealer told me the same thing last week when I picked up my Accord. They said, it sometimes makes the vibration etc worse. So, I haven't taken mine in yet. They also told me that due to the issues, Honda has stopped sending out letters to all the customers. Mine does judder/drone pretty bad so I might just take it in and see ...

The dealers actually get paid less for warranty work than what they get for customer-paid service/repair. So if the dealer has enough work coming in they can afford the luxury of denying warranty work. Just go to another ...

I've got the UHaul hitch on my ('06) Odyssey. I use mine to haul bicycles on the hitch as well. I also use a rooftop bike carrier for the times I don't feel like using the rear carrier (or, I have the cargo carrier on the roof).

If it's either, I hope it's limited to the "Limited" model only. The ~$12K+ added for the option would only take about 20yrs to pay for with the marginal fuel economy boost you'd get with a hybrid or efficient turbo diesel. I'll keep my ~$22K lowly LX model and 20mpg any day.

Looks great! I like plug and play. Nothing worse than hacking up wiring on a brand new $30K van. Nice job. Will those fit into the fog lights as well? Having both HID head lights and fogs would be sweet.
