Dear JT64 - the best ddo program, is always that of the hdd maker concerned, which should be downloadable from their website. If one is not available, then one has to try a generic ddo, or from another well known hdd maker. However, surely as the pc is an xt, this limits which os can be used. If the o/s does *not* support fat32 the maximum size of the hdd (or partition) allowed is about 2gb. Sorry to advise, but IBM hdd's do not have a...

Hello Mike i am in Sweden. Ive tried IBM DDO drivers without success they do not seem to support 8086, and will not install most require 386 processor. Or just maybe i've got to new version, i can't see why there should not be an 8086, DDO driver that work. A funny thing about my ADP50L controller is that it for some reason let me format both a 520 primary partition, and! a 520 extended partition on my 10 GB drive although the drive...

I have an 8086 pc-xt with ADP50L controller that seem to support AT 16-bit ide disks. I've installed an IBM DTTA 10330 (10GB), it show up as an 520 MB HD. And so do any sized CF card that i put on the CF to IDE adapter. Now i was thinking i could use DDO dynamic driver overlay to make the controller adress the full size. Problem seem to be that DDO was programmed for newer computers than...
