Hoping for a little advice

Hey Deb - Happy Thanksgiving to you! We're in a down time while the bird is cooking ... so I'm visiting boards. Ok, re: Weight Watchers, the thing is that Jynus is right. I know WW - I've done the program and I'm very familiar with it. The WW program is a good one and yes it's successful, but it's also has less focus on macro-nutrient levels than it could. Don't get me wrong - I think it's a good...

1) you're not eating enough. points != calories . Count the actual calories using fit day, i'm willing to bet you're way low, when in reality with your exercise you should be 1500-1800 per day to lose 2) your diet isn't very good. It's mostly...

I have not had it professionally analyzed. I have one of the scales that measures body fat . I know they aren't extremely accurate, but when I started it said 36% body fat and now it says 26%. So at least I am going in the right direction. I really think I need to lose a few more...

Happy Thanksgiving Everyone! I'll try to answer a couple questions and I'll write more later on - I'm cooking the bird and you know how that goes! To Benji: Yes! I see a huge difference - less flab and I at least have an appearance of a figure again! So, it's working - I know that. To Jynus: I'm sorry but I've gotten you confused on the...

Smart. I just read this now. I'd say you were over-stressing your body quite a bit. Beating your body into submission is not the solution. Good job.

Fat doesn't have to be flabby. A lot of people ahve a very SOLID padding of fat on their stomach.
It could be bloat, it could be fat , it could be a combination fo the two.

The best things I can suggest for you is to get on a good healthy diet . You need to eat 6 times a day every 2-3 hours small portioned meals. This helps speed up fat loss VS eating 3 decent sized meals a day. As for exercise, I highly recommend doing Turbulence Training. It is by far the fastest fat burning form of cardio there is. The running on treadmills does not burn near as much fat...

Ok, first of all, 2 weeks isn't a plateau. It's a blip.
I think the problem is that you need to adjust your expectations - because 2-3 lbs a week is an unreasonable expectation once you get that close to your goal weight. If you're losing weight at a reasonable and safe rate, you should expect an average of 1% of your bodyweight per week. For you, I gather you're around 150 now (and ...

I am at a weight loss plateau!! I started at 155 lbs, 1 year ago. I was down to 135 lbs, but gained 10 back in 10 days on vacation :-(. So now I am struggling to lose it again, I can not break below 140. My goal is 130 lbs (I am 5'5", 33 years old, female).
Question is, am I eating too few or too many calories ? I am currently doing Beachbody's Insanity and training for a...

I've noticed that a Spicy V-8 or regular tomato juice with some pepper sauce mixed in curbs the appetite well if you like spicy things.
I suggest that you get rid of any really bad foods in your cupboards if you can (like the chips and chocolate). Easier to avoid temptation when it's not staring you in the face.
Are you eating enough (and frequently enough) throughout the day to make...

Sometimes, stomach fat is associated with insulin resistance, for example, if you have PCOS or if you are diabetic.
Have you been to your doctor to get checked out recently? Do you have other symptoms of insulin resistance?
