What you demand does not exist, especially at your price point (assuming that you want to run those games on high). Maybe, however, the UL80VT-A1 or a T400 / T500 ?

Anti-overheat laptop!

Dell had problems with laptops overheating a while back. the inspiron 5000 or 5100 series comes to mind. most new laptops won't have an overheating problem. check ncix.com for laptops in your budget, as they have a couple. for $550, there's not much you can choose from in the 15-16" range. lenovo has a sale on the SL510 that will fit in your budget too.

Hi,if you fill in an FAQ it will help others to narrow down some choices for you and help them to be sure that what they are recommending is right for you. I'm not sure what battery life you're looking for. Also, i don't know what size laptop would be acceptable and what your upper budget is. I also don't know if you must have a built in dvd drive.

From what I understand, for almost any Alienware rig, there is an equivalent Clevo rig for much cheaper. The differences between Clevo and Alienware tend to be minor, except that Clevos are sold by many companies, and Alienwares are only sold by Dell . The exception tends to be dual GPUs. I think only Alienwares are capable of a pair of high-end GPUs in SLI or Crossfire. But that's going to cost in the range of $3-4000 minimum.

Anti-overheat laptop!

Your safest bet for notebooks that don't overheat as easily are the ones that are energy efficient. These usually generate very little heat. Other laptops may or may not be cool depending on how well their ventilation was designed. For $550, it migh be a little hard to find a brand-new, decent laptop that can last for 4-5 years, unless there was an incredible sale going on. Most of the portable PC's you'll find in this price...

I would suggest to check ASUS UL80Vt-A1 14'' or ASUS UL50VT-A1 15' ' are decent package and probably could do all the things you want, comes with good warranty, and dedicated gpu, also amazon has a decent deal for this line atm. If you realy want a higher res screen probably check dell studio.

Im sorry, but your budget is really just too low.
And escpecially with such a low budget, you need to consider refurbished laptops.
If you can raise your budget, look at the Thinkpad W500 .
Check them out at the Outlet if you will reconsider a refurb.
Also see some HP Elitebooks.

Nits is a measurement of luminance, or brightness. That does not by any
means equate to screen quality.

Hi Folks:
Looking for a light-weight laptop, which will not break my shoulders as my Acer Aspire 5920 is doing. I do travel a lot and like to work outdoors. Originally, I thought of a 'netbook' and was specifically looking at the Samsung NC-10. But when I saw it physically, I found the screen too small, though it looks like a nifty gift for my significant other! So, I began to look for ...

What are you using it for?
Can't honestly answer until you tell us that. You might not need a graphics card at all.

One possibility is the Asus UL80Vt. It's a notebook focused on mobility, so
it's quite light, and has a very long battery life (can be 10 hours). It
can be found under $1000 pre-tax. And, other than the low-power CULV
processor (1.3ghz dual core, can turbo to 1.7ghz), it is fairly capable.
The processor shouldn't be a problem if you're mostly just using it for
word processing, or even some higher...

No, i7 is pretty unnesesary for most people.
I recommend you the Dell Studio 15 , and the HP dv6t , HDX 16t.

Well, your budget is pretty low for what you are asking...
You might be able to find a T400 /T500 with a 3470/3650 at the Lenovo Outlet...
Maybe a used laptop with a GPU like the nVidia 9600M/220M or ATI 3650...

I've seen the T500 with the WSXGA+ screen and 3650 go for around $700 in the Lenovo Outlet, though the picking are slim now. If you don't mind a lesser card the R400 /R500/T400/T500 or E6500/E6400 are all worth a look. You get the best deals in the outlets.

You can get away with playing WoW with good performance on a basic notebook with the ATI 3200 or Nvidia 9100 on-board graphics card.
That should not set you back more than $500 for a decent fully loaded system.

I would go with either the MSI or the Samsung. Because they have the best two GPU's.

Which from them is the most reliable?
I would say the Lenovo . Because Lenovo's are generally very relible and good laptops. Second to that, the MSI.

The Alienware M15X is awesome, I just got mine and its built like a tank.
The finish is superb and the monitor is beautiful. Only downside though is
that its a tad heavy at 4kg for a 15 inch computer but I prefer it to be
made of metal rather than plastic so its all good. Otherwise the Sagers are
cheaper and more bang for buck, though I think they look abit generic
dunno.
