Well, that's what you get when you buy a low end budget refurb. I have had my Toshiba for a year now and have never had a problem.

Umm, does it really always draw 90w? My X505 draws 100w only when I play intensive 3d games, and about 30-40w on idle desktop or when websurfing.

I have a T115-S1100 (the small version of your machine, roughly). In general I do not like the the "rocker style" button, I first encountered it on an Asus laptop and my Toshiba has one too. I have encountered weird responses when tapping the button near the middle, but it never made the trackpad unusable or even erratic. I am not sure what to tell you in this regard. I can say, however, that I had similar problems with the floor...

You can turn off the BEEP or the buttons as well in the bios. After a month, I never found a worthwhile use for them anyway. SLI is nice IF you have a game or app that actually takes advantage of it. I do miss my volume dial from my x205. Most important for me was the i7 processor and ram.

YOW, You can lower the sensitivity of the HDD shock protection or disable it completely. Just find the Toshiba HDD application, and you can tweak the settings from there.

The audio on this machine sounds amazing! Well probably why they took it out which is sad anyway is because of the economy, for years they have had machines that were really expensive due to sli. Cmon for 1,449, or 1,400 you can beat this deal and a blu ray drive standard awesome.

yes, it's doable, but very involved.... it requires taking apart the entire notebook, as the CPU is located on the bottom of the motherboard, which requires removal to access. Is very doable though, search for a disassembly guide for GREAT info. Just be aware of what's involved before you decide what to do.
I updated mine to a T9300 back when they first released them, worked well.

I would like to see some pics, even if they are not that good you can edit
them anyway. Nice review though, not a lot of people are reviewing, taking
the time to do it, or take pics. I getting mine soon, i can't wait for it,
how is the blu ray drive?

Yes, i do have some questions.
But i guess i'll just settle on one first, how is the battery? What's the min/max you can drag out of the M500?

This depends on how you testing your "FPS".
It will make sense if you were bottlenecked by graphics card performance - therefore upgrading processor will not help, since CPU was not the bottleneck.
