That is a tough choice. I think it depends a lot on what your going to use it for mostly and what you can afford. I believe the i7 will run faster for dual core applications and definitely single core apps. 1366x768 compared to 1920x1080 is quite a leap. I needed the space for software I run so 1080 was better. the new nvidia drivers do the same, i idle at about 48-52c. idle temps are great, it's just under load something must be going wrong. i'm starting to think it's my fan. why? i don't think it ever goes on full blast anymore unless it reaches insane temperatures. also, this is probably worth mentioning. for a week or so, when i'd boot up the laptop, sometimes the fan would go on full blast and stay on until i shut down....

If you dont want to cook electronics where you eat (which has to be nothing but trouble), buy a heat gun from a HW store (used to strip paint). Because a heat gun is very simmilar to a BGA reworking station (which the pros use). Anyway set the heat gun to 300C and heat up the GPU for a few mins. There are lots of vids on youtube with great instructions. If this works for you, make sure you keep the GPU cool for the rest of it's life....

These models below according to Asus were to start shipping 11-6 through 11-16 but I don't see many people here with these models posting they have recieved the emails.
