The needle bearings on the roller is what wears out. Sometimes the hydraulic parts inside get gummed up and stick but they rarely fail. 150,000 miles is their " designed life" if that matters...

I think someone on Tech had a good definition of stock.. "the way it rolled off the showroom floor" Anyway, I think Mom's car ran a 12.6. I'm not sure if it had drag radials or not though.

afr's are good and have the carb stamp. I have passed twice very easily with afr heads and a mild cam. If those other heads are stock castings then the ref won't say anything. He's not going to check the numbers or pull the heads off. If they have markings on them just remove them or mount them on the back of the engine. I don't think a more efficient cylinder head will cause you to not pass ...

Spped pulse wire? I can't find out which wire to tap into on my 98 Z/28. I am hooking up an avic N1 in dash in my Z. There is a wire off the GPS portion that says to hook it up to the speed sensor so the GPS will be accurate. Anyone know which wire i would tap into that is for the speed pulse?...

What happens when you floor it? Generally you will have to give it more gas to get it going, but a few minor tweeks to the pcm will fix most of that sluggish feeling. I recently expierenced that sluggish feeling when putting a stall in my gf's DD F-bod.
