Hi, GPS fix on Accuweather has never worked on my phone and if you check the forum it seems to be a very common problem. Only advice I can give is to try deleteing the two apps then download and re-install, could solve the issue. Hope this helps. Good Luck

Yes you have definitely lost your warranty. Changing the product code and updating would have left a record on the Nokia update server which keeps a record of your IMEI with the changed code. This record remains even if you subsequently chance the code back.

The V3 map only covers seems to only cover the UK.  But it is difficalt to say, maybe when online the map changes to the area around where you are.  I suppose if you go abroad you could load - for free - a map of the country you are in.

Yes, that is odd...sorry but there is no further help I can give you...   Help could be provided by a Nokia Care Point . Care points/service centers and repair info: UK • Europe • Asia-Pacific • USA • Canada • Middle East and Africa Any other country: Click here , select your country, go to the support section, then select repair.

I think we will have to wait for the flash update but its good news they are working on it.   BUT! I am still curious - can iPlayer live TV stream work on 5800 phones on different networks to Orange? If this is the case then maybe its not a flash issue especially if it also works on other Nokia phones like the N95 and E71. What do these phones have that (some) 5800s don't? Is it a different media player version to the Reaplayer on a...

So they responded to my e-mail with:   With regard to your inquiry about the software update on your device, please be advise that the latest available software for  your product code 0575400  is version: 12.2.024. Considering that there is already a 2.0 firmware version for N97, this does not apply to all. The latest firmware is determined by its product code and not by the model of the phone.  There are a lot of N97 users in different...

it depends on your service provider, just because you never bought a data plan does not mean you wont get charged, i'm with 3 here and even though I don't have a data plan, if i switch on A-GPS or go to a website, it will still show the webpage and get charged at $2 a meg or whatever it might be, however with a data plan I'd get so many meg for a certain price.   that being said........

Its not a bug. All s60v5 cant have the default apps changed even if the menu option for default apps are there. Its probably an oversight by Nokia, or they may have an update in the future for this, like a new browser or player or whatnot.

Hi, this is easy to do, there are two methods, either use the phone or Ovi suite. You need a photo of the contact you wish to have on Favourite Contacts and you can either attach it by putting it in photo's on your phone, open the picture/select options/select use picture/select assign to contact/select ok. Done. To use Ovi suite, connect phone with usb to computer, sync contacts and ...

Since you haven´t mentioned what phone you are using it is kind of difficult to provide any help...   Usually after transferring music files from your computer to the phone you have to refresh the library to be able to use them.   Menu --> Music --> Music Library --> Options --> Refresh library   I hope this solved it, if it didn´t get back to us, but please provide more details...

I have the Vodafone 5800 in the UK.  GPS is built in and free to use.  The receiver is not so sensitive as the dedicated Garmin I use in my car.  The built-in map on the 5800 (UK one) is at least 6 years out of date in my area at least.

There is a dedicated BBC site for live TV (no need to use iplayer).  www.bbc.co.uk/mobile/live/tv/ .  This site is easier and quicker to use than the iplayer.  However; it too, at this moment, does not have a working BBC1.  It did work a coupole of days ago.  It is a beta site.  No doubt they will sort it out soon.

Have you tried updating over the air?   Go to Menu --> Settings --> Phone --> Phone mgmt. --> Device update --> Options --> Check for updates   You´ll need a WiFi or any other full internet acsess point to make it work! The advantage of this is that the "data preservation" won´t wipe your phone!    If this also states that your FW is up to date then you might have a branded ...

Actually, the better word to say is to refrain from updating via Ovi suite if you wont turn off your AV and firewall. Its always better to update via FOTA.

As expected Nokia Support ignored all but the first question, and did not even acknowledge the suggestions. I got a cookie cutter scripted canned user manual copy and paste job about the backup tool from a person named Khaled Abed and nothing else. I don't think he bothered reading the request. Joy!   This violates even the most basic principals of quality control where listening to ...
