Try this. Go outdoors where you get a clear view of sky. Open slider and hold phone at 45degrees, don't cover "#" key as GPS antenna is underneath it. Low cloud or rain will make satellite acquisition a lot longer. Go to Menu>Tools>GPS data>searching for + calculating data>Position>Options>Satellite status This shows the number of available satellites. Empty rectangle means not...

hmmm... i spoke with reps at Nokia in Florida and they are telling me that they don't even know when it will be available exactly and there is no price on it just yet. I'll try them again. Thanks

I also have the problem of " no valid navigation license found". Bought mine was when i checked a us state to navigate to anywhere in mexico. You can not route between two maps and can only select one at a time. Like, north america Or Mexico not arizona to mexico or anything like that. Kind of sucky huh? Is there no fix to this. Hi, I don't think that your explanation is entirely right. Assisted GPS sends (using a data connection) information about which cell tower you are communicating with to nokia, who send back information that tells the phone which GPS satellites it should expect to see. This narrows down the search, making it much easier to get a GPS location - from potentially minutes with standard GPS, to around 20-30 seconds or less with Assisted GPS....

hi guys :-) new build 4503 is out !! Previous was 3204. But i've got a problem, it doesn"t want to install, error message says : "failed installation, it already installed on the device" I try to delete "city" folder as previous version say to be back to the ROM first versions, but no changes.... :-( Any ideas ? is that right my shop said that some n95s need to ues a external gps receiver or not as mine is not working Ive done all the right stuff as i did with my other n95 before my wife went over it with the car. Can anyone help me here.

Right so I purchased a Nokia 500, but I have an LG phone (Verizon) with Bluetooth. I can connect the two, first problem is that contacts can't be downloaded. No big deal to me. I have Nokia Maps working fine (visually) but I can't get the voice navigation to work. The phone came with 12 months' free voice navigation so should it not work automatically? Help! Thanks, Sparkly

I downloaded maps onto my n95 8gb which it already had on it but i was told to . Now the setout is different and it barely find any streets a type in. I even went to online and it searched online and still didn't find my address which i live off a main road. Does anyone know how i can improve the results and or i better way to search and get gps? i have the 6 month free access....
