I think of a couple of reasons, first: USB drivers, second: the file format (fat)?

Great, so you solved your problem. Now that does that mean that you now have a defective phone, as, per Nokia's own support, the phone shouldn't ring through the speaker with headset paired....??

Claremount, I wish I had kept mine on release 200.x rather than upgrading it to 400.x since I have had so many problems. Yes the firmware works, but its not compatible with backups taken with previous versions, since restoring an old backup kills some of the main functionality like not being able to access contacts. Of course if you don't have anything worthwhile keeping in you backups, then it works great..... my question then is,...

Hi Paul, Are you in SA? I saw a note that the network provider may not have approved the update! Could this be the problem? I was planning to do the update till you posted this comment......think I should wait and see what reply you get

Yes, Mark, there are people that have seen this: /discussions/board/message?board.id=messaging&thre ad.id=20835 In a nutshell, these are bugs. They will have to be fixed by Nokia. I already called them, e-mailed them etc. Unfortunately, they are treating their customers like idiots by giving utter nonsense in response. If you don't mind, please call them and point them to this ...

Curious how you got the current firmware; the Software Updater and Website* still tell me that 200.* is current, although I have heard that 400* is out. * http://europe.nokia.com/get-support-and-software/d ownload-software/device-software-update/download?E 71=

I too am having frequent disconnections during calls with the only solution appearing to be turning the phone off then back on - getting very frustrating - have had to reboot 3 times today!! May have to go back to my E71............. I am using a Plantronics Voyager Pro and have experienced the same issues with a Plantronics 925 and Nokia BH-900.

I have the same problem too. Tried resetting to factory default and it works for a while but after some time the decimal does not work. It might be a software bug. Any solution?

E72-1 (edit-> bought it in Sweden ..box says made in Finland. ! have the same 'light leaks' and battery cover doesn't fit too tight either.. I still like it since I upgraded from a 1208 , and my homephone. Battery life is not what I wished for.. nor does it tell me when it's fully loaded anymore, lost that function a week ago. I have mine set to 3G only - otherwise at home it constantly switches between GSM and 3G. I have email downloading enabled during the day (Mail for Exchange, Gmail). I also use the browser on the phone quite a lot (sometimes WLAN, sometimes 3G). I do not talk too much on it (less than 20 mins a day), but I still get about 5-6 days of standby time.

Well, it's obvious that when switching networks, you need different gprs settings. But you can use several accesspoints. Switch from "when avaiable" to "when needed" in the packet data connection settings.

A reset might help you out if you're sure it's not a hardware issue. 1) *#7780# 12345 restore factory settings, keep data 2) *#7370# 12345 reformat, lose all data
