I don't think it's frmware (VPN) but take a look at this: http://europe.nokia.com/get-support-and-software/download-software/nokia-mobile-vpn/compatibility-and-download Keep in mind that setting up a VPN is not easy. You better ask your IT department.

I have a speedtouch router, and the latest tip is to switch off qos on the router.    Telnet to the router:  {admin}=>wireless qos config mode=disabled {admin}=>saveall   I will try it later this evening.

Thank you so much for reffering to a detailed and pin-specific thread. But here is a little problem. I am using Bluetooth Billionton Clas 1, which means that my bluetooth is not a native bluetooth device, means I need to run its basic software for transfering the data. And m-Router/Proxyi software ain't detecting my device. Thanks again for being concerned.

Try downloading energy profiler from OVI. it has a feature that lets it watch over the active connections and you can see current download speeds and total data for that particular period.   Also check   menu > tools > connectivity > conn. mgr > Active data connections >   you'll see a list here click on the one you want to watch over

Oh ok.   I tried connecting using my laptop running Windows XP, and it didn't work there either.   Perhaps it's my phone that is not entirely compatible.

You should check if your lappy has built-in Bluetooth. If it's there, open control panel-> bluetooth-> options-> enable visibility, so you can pair with your phone. You don't need additional software. All the Bluetooth stacks are Vista drivers. You can also buy a Bluetooth dongle. Their cheap and well supported in Vista.

If you are getting a "No gateway" message also try the following: 1. Check to see if MAC filtering is enabled on your router, if it is, you will need to add the MAC address of your phone to the "allowed" list. Use the code *#62209526# to get your phones MAC address. 2. On your pc/laptop, click on Start>Run and type ipconfig/all and note the settings for: a) Subnet Mask b) Default ...

You can find and delete your access points at Menu>Tools>Settings>Connection>Destinations.   However, that is a roundabout way of dealing with the issue. You obviously have a rogue application which isn't set up right. Typical suspects would be the messaging client which is looking to connect to check for emails every so often os Nokia Maps set up to go online. You should try finding ...

I am experiencing a very similar problem to this, sometimes the phone works fine, other times the car can initiate the call but the actual call itself goes through the phone and not through the car, the only way to get it working properly is to turn off the phone and turn it back on, it is started to get a little frustrating when I have to make a call and then stop the car while I tell ...

PC suite also supports connecting via bluetooth. if your computer has bluetooth, you can use that to connect or you can use a bluetooth dongle.   I tried searching for that phone and all hits came back with " Exclusively from Verizon " I think this means you'll only find support for that phone on the Nokia USA website   http://www.nokiausa.com     here's what I found     http...

All the other other setting should match your pc except the IP. You should change the last 3 digits of the IP by for example adding 5 to the last 3 digits.   Apart from that "No gateway reply" can somtimes also be resolved by   1. updating firmware on router 2. adding the phones MAC address to the MAC address filter on the router 3. disabling WirelessLAN power saving mode....
