Vijayan, thanks for the reply. This news brings up a lot of question though: How will this work with Symbian Foundation? Will they release the official runtime builds or will the runtime be still signed by Nokia? Will Symbian Foundation put it's own dev team on the project and if there are multiple code bases, how will they be merged for future builds? Thanks Raf

I like Dedit . If you receive any message related to certificate expired just set your phone date to one year ago and install it. After installation you can set the current date again.

I haven't had time to get into python programming yet so I can't help with the module availability.
However, FFTs I can help with. That must really be the slowest FFT in the world, even without having to run it in Python. You should just be able to pass it the raw sample data though and the algorithm accepts real numbers (note, this version almost certainly won't work on integers properly...

Hi,
From what I understand you're talking about OCR . It's hard to say if it's possible or not... many things are possible if the right idea comes to you For example, one rudimentary way to do it is to analyze the colour of the pixels in the image and if pixels with approximately the same colour match a pattern, it's a letter. Probably very inefficient but that's what came to my mind ...

It's not possible with Python. I'm not sure it's possible at all, but search the Symbian C++ forum to see if you can find similar discussions.

My current function to convert from html to unicode is below (decode_html). It is used in wordmobi.
Code:

Hi,
Is your script shell signed with Location, ReadDeviceData and ReadUserData capabilities, like it says in the article? If it isn't sign it and try again and let us know if it works.
