MItroll I am making a couple of assumptions... 1. This must be a side hammer - as if it were a inline you would just pull the breech plug and push everything out that way... 2. You must have a bulet/ball puller for your ram rod as you were able to pull the bullet from the sabot... So my suggestion is put the bullet puller back on the rod - push it back down the bore forcing the sabot back ...

In 2002 I took my Muzzleloader for my once in a life-time Minnesota moose hunt. I loaded the gun the night before opener and didnt unload that same shot until I pulled the trigger on a moose on the 11th day. Inbetween, it had rained and snowed for 7 of those days. I shoot a Knight and have never had a problem. I will commonly load night before season and not worry about it. It has gone 10-14 ...

I am sure it has to do with the same answer in MN... The traditionalists. Some would like to see in-lines out lawed. So they go with the fact that not using a scope would make it still "primative" style of hunting. That is what I have been told by my friends who work for the MN DNR. So it could be the same in ND.

I did a lot of web search on that. I ended up finding that a lot of people shoot 110 to 120 grain. 100 doesn't give you enough and 150 is very inaccurate. I have the same muzzle loader and shoot 110. I use two 50/30 and one 50/50 Triple 7 Pellets. I am using the Super Glide Shock Wave 250 grain. It's dead on at 100 yards. Great gun.

Looks like you really really wanted to shot BH 209 in a Remington. I like the idea of the primer not coming apart and the breach staying cleaner. Are you going to market it? Been out watching the deer since 11-15-09. I am carrying the Remington 54. Al

Seasons been going on for a while now here in the south east zone 1. Any way the rs is prodex powder. You can use T7 if you wish just reduce the amount to start by 10% as it is a bit stiffer than prodex. A conical is a solid led bullet that some times is slip fit in a bore. You will have to expermit to see which ones work for you. A sabot is a plastic shoe that holds a pistol bullet. Most ...
