OK, here is the plan so you guys can help keep my ass motivated to get this done... I posted above that the Raam audio product will be here tomorrow on UPS. I ordered the Cascade Audio VB2 today from Zeronoise. That will arrive on 12-23. I start vacation on 12-23 as well, and have until 1-4-2010 to get some stuff done. My Itinerary... 12-22, evening, Raam mat on trunk floors and walls 12-23, all day-Raam mat on cabin floor, rear deck,...

I wanted to let you guys know that I finally have everything installed. Only thing left for me to do is run the bass remote wiring so it is hidden and clean up my wiring and mount my amp.

One additional thing to consider if you go through the passenger side is that you will need more power wire than you will with the driver side option. When I did my install the wiring kit I bought had just enough wire to go from the battery to the trunk going down the driver's side - I think I had like 2 feet to spare. Originally I had the wire routed in a less than straight path and when I got to the back I was way short on wire, I had...

You may have to readjust the mounting plate you have your dd with. I had problems with mine but eventually got it to a point where it does stick out a little but I can tilt/reverse tilt/open with no problems. It may be the kit you have.

Okay, never mind. I think I found where in a search. It says I need to take of the drivers side wheel and it will be a rubber grommet behind the splash panel. Does that sound right to you guys for a 2005 altima? I dont want to drill any holes in my fire wall. If that is the correct spot. I still would like some pictures so I know what to look for ahead of time. Thanks.

I hope when you say swap pos and neg, you don't mean switching them with each other directly. Usually you hook up the pos to one channel and hook up the neg to the other channel. Check out the attachment. The green drawings is one way of doing it. Oh and don't switch the wires to the speaker either.

After thinking this through some more, seems like the easiest and most sensible solution will be to just re-seal the 6x9 holes in the rear deck, just not with speakers as I need the room under there for my amp. I need to get back in there anyway to replace a clip that fell out of the rear deck when I was reinstalling it Sunday, so I will put 2 small pieces of 1/4" plywood over where the ...
