So TJTJ...Does this sound like I did everything correct. I would like to address any issues before I take it into the shop. I hate to waste the techs time by making things more difficult.... I agree I can't see the alignment not being trashed after cranking stuff. Especially cranking one side way way more than the other. Going to get it aligned tomorrow (if I can find a shop). I think the last guy who aligned the truck a few months ago...

The SAS begins
Published (2009-12-22 14:23:00)
Oh, and Stevin, no idea how long the SAS will take. I am imagining that the axles will take about 5 months to build up considering I already have a lot of the stuff. Here is a pic of the rear. The drums have come off and I have this disc brake conversion kit http://www.greatlakeoffroad.com/disc.html Here is the diff cover. I have one for the front and rear already http://www.ballisticfabrication.com/...D_p_1592.html# Here is a picture of the...

Brake Valve?

I'm only aware of brake line extensions and that's it. You will still be able to install the AAL but don't drive anywhere that's going to let the axle flex until you can get the extensions. Again though, this may not be REQUIRED but more of a recommendation. See if this helps: http://www.clubxterra.org/forums/showthread.php?t=5256

Rancho 5000's on stock x
Published (2009-12-16 17:54:00)
OK, most of you that have looked around at shocks for your X have more than likely looked at the rancho rs5000. Every where that has this shock available, insists that they will only fit an xterra if it has a 3" lift on it. NOT TRUE! I ordered a set last week and had them installed today after arguing with the service manager at sears for 30 min. I know most of you are loyal to the bilstein products and im sure that bilstein is the...

The rear axle is a 32 spline D44 (same as the new Rubicons) IIRC and unfortunately the only locker option to my knowledge is the ARB air-locker. As for LSD's, I personally would put that money either towards a true locker or other mods. Unless you can get one with a high torque-break, they really don't give a great benefit off road. And I don't know about the front diffs. I would THINK they ...

ok, im need new shocks badand have been looking. Idealy I want something that is a good solid shock thats not pricey. My X is stock height 2003 model as of now but plan on a pml in the next few years. Is there a shock out there that is compatible with stock height and pml height? I looked at rancho rs 5000 and it said it must have a 2.5" lift. Is this true or will they fit the stock X ...
