Hatch mounted rear tire carrier

Yeah, but you also have extra weight up there. Imagine 6 bowling balls up there.

Exactly why I'd rather have a rear tire carrier or have the damn thing inside in the cargo area than up top. No way in hell am I climbing up there with that much weight. My back is already messed up.

steeze...hey do you have any insight on this James suggested a beefer rear and gearing...which i did want to do originally but figured it wasnt cost effective...now with the brake upgrade its seems logical and will save me in the long run...ill explain a little more if you want to give that a look-see...

Maybe you could adapt a swing away tire carrier from a ZR2 Blazer Ive seen a few guysdo it with a ranger and I dont think it would require that much work if your wanting to move the spare and from what Ive read they hold up to a 35 with little troule and you wouldnt lose the use of your hatch.

You know those are the first tail light guards I've seen that actually look like they'd protect the lights. That'd be a useful as well as a good looking mod to your rig and give you a lot more rigidity on the cargo area panels.

We are currently building molds for new air dams that will have provisions for 4 rectangle off road lights. We've seen that a lot of you guys after you lift your X, it just barely fits in the garage still. Then after you put lights on the top, then it doesn't fit anymore. So, (before the '09's came out with theirs, lol) we came up with this solution. This way the lights don't hang above the rack ...
