have you checked your driver side motor mount? if that has busted it could tear the intake before the MAF causing issues more than likely this is not the case because you started having problems after filling up with gas but its one more thing to eliminate

I am a little stumped on the dimmer wire. When I used the blue/red wire on the right of the dimmer switch, the gauge light just lit up with when you turned on the lights- it won't dim. I just changed it to the pink wire and it will dim, but in REVERSE to the rest of the interior!!! Radio/Speedo full bright, new gauge, dim!!! (and the inverse!) I did a quick internet search and found this: Car Radio Illumination Wire: Red/Blue Car Stereo...

I would do 2.25 off the header and quite honestly, I would run 3-inch off the y-pipe to the tail pipe. The last thing you want to do is create a bottleneck at that y-pipe. But in the interest of cost, try a couple things first before buying new exhaust. Run the truck with your current 2.5" setup once you install the headers and rest of the system. Get an idea for how it feels and responds at different RPM ranges. Then pull the exhaust...

Already cleaned MAF, no change. I replaced the MAF, no change. Monitored the TPS, and it is steady and responsive to rpm revs. scan tool shows no sign of a misfire occuring, neither do the O2 sensors show any sign of excessive leaning. 2000dessertrunner, talked about possibly the distributor shredding itself from the inside. So im going to check there. See if I see the same thing he saw with his distributor.

Okay, that's awesome but the point is that they do not "bolt-in" which is what most people want to happen. Since they are long tube you also have no place for cats, which most people have to have nowadays to pass inspection, so all that would have to be put into the purchase price. And yes, without a body lift those would have no chance of fitting in your truck.
But it is good to see people ...

Not quite sure about the spring on the 00, but I had an issue with mine on an 06. Two screws hold the whole hinge/spring/door assembly on mine and it is much easier to repair off the truck. Does yours possibly have screws?

I am getting consistently 19.5 MPG with a 2000 Frontier CC 4wd.
If I drive very slow and avoid sudden accelerations, I can get up to 21 MPG.
Thats satisfactory to me.

I am working on installing a Firestone #2293 Sport Rite Air Bag Kit on the rear of my 2wd 2004 Crew Cab. I got an air lift compressor Air Lift compressor kit w/ gauge and have been wondering where to mount the gauge and the switch.
I decided the spot would be to the right of the steering wheel as there is a nice flat spot on the lower dash panel. I took the panel out to inspect and see...

If I had to guess (which I do because it's cold outside and I'm not going to look ) I would say that this the plug that feeds the turn signal and park light, and it's just there to make it easy to access.
