Stock Radio Question
Published (2009-11-13 15:13:00)
Hello wirehead814 and welcome to the NICOClub Rogue Forums! The same question was just asked a few days ago in another thread: http://forums.nicoclub.com/zer...sc-cd Bottom line: a 6 disc non-BOSE CD player that does not require an amp is available but only in Canada. This is not cheap or easy as the head unit is over $700 USD brand new and used in impossible to find as there aren't many Rogues on the roads up here compared to the US. I...

Is anyone else sick of looking at the HUGE "1 Sexy Stomach Rule.." advertisement on the right of this page???!!!! I am, it's literally making me sick to repeatedly have to look at that person grabbing the big old 10-lb handful of stomach fat, and it's been there for at least a month. Come on NicoClub, this is a site for car enthusists, why can't we keep the ads restricted to cars, car part distributors and anything...

Backup lights
Published (2009-11-13 05:13:00)
Please remember that back up lights are not there to see but to be seen. That is why the lens is like the front turn signals, with waves to spread the lights instead of focusing it. There is somewhere a thread from Elton Noway about the "back up lights to see" problem. I am working right now on maybe a solution with homemade high power leds hoping to solve this problem. I have almost all the parts (still waiting for the heatsinks)...

I've had my 09 since July and since it has been getting progressively darker in the mornings when I leave for work, it has been harder to see IMO, when backing out of the driveway. (yes my eyesight hasn't changed). Does anybody know if you could put a brighter bulb in the backup lights with out harming the lens. I...

TPMS mandatory install on winter...
Published (2009-11-13 14:43:00)
Thanks for the extra info Philipa. I know it wasn't mandatory, and I knew it wasn't a safety issue and argued with the dealer for almost 20 minutes on that fact, and I still check my tire pressures weekly AND they still insisted it was mandatory to put the sensors on the winter tires. I know they were just trying to get more money out of me. Especially when I confirmed with a couple of other dealers saying that it wasn't...

I have the same setting as you: Garmin GPS always plugged on the dash socket and Motorola cell phone plugged, when in need to be recharged, in the console socket. I had a LG cellphone before and never had a problem. Do you always plug in your cellphone when you climb in your car? seems to be the only difference between us but I don't see that at major. Don't think it is your config, looks ...

I split this off as a seperate post. You cannot add the BOSE amp to the lower end audio units for a couple of reasons: 1) The BOSE amp is located in the hatch area and non-BOSE equipped Rogue's lack the proper wiring. 2) The BOSE amp requires balanced line level audio inputs. The non-Bose headunits have amplified speaker level outputs (read much higher voltage than line level). As for the ...

Yes, a few people(including me) were complaining about back up and that was discussed earlier. You can replace stock bulb with led(just get the 921 led bulb which has more leds). Here's my set of LED vs. Stock halogen bulb: Even some people on this forum are very skeptical about led license plate lights but I'm sure they will add some extra light output and that would be the easiest addition...

Nope, it is not mandatory at all. Yes, the TPMS light on your dash will be on the entire time, but it does not affect anything else. Several members here run without the TPMS sensors in their winter wheels. The dealer is just trying to make more money.

Based on Tire Rack wheels for the Rogue, it looks like the bolt pattern is 5 x 114.3. With 40 - 45mm offset, is that correct?

Our Acura MDX does the exact same thing, but it's 7 years old and has about 80k miles on there. I have no idea why, but I can tell you that if my Rogue starts doing the same thing while still under warranty, I will be taking it into the dealer ASAP, because I personally find that unacceptable.

Casperfun, your links are not working. You have linked directly to a Flickr photo 'set' and not the actual picture. If you go into your flickr account, click on the photo => select 'All Sizes' it should give you the photo along with a URL at the bottom that you can copy and paste to your links above.

Yeah for half the price you can get after market wheels that are twice as nice, and they'll be unique rather than than the same wheels as all other Rogue's. This makes me extra happy I went with the full-size spare option, rather than the cargo organizer, because the full size spare rim is identical to the other 4, so if I do ever damage one I an swap in the extra spare rim....

Hey MickeyDee, I took a drive from Ontario to Florida, with the Rogue full and 2 bikes hanging off the back end. I did feel a slight delay, its like the CVT has to load itself. But something that I did during the hills section on the trip, press a little harder at the start of the hill to get the RPM's higher so it reacts sooner and thus having a better feel of the power the Rogue has. Getting ...
