That post make Dennis look dumb. . Seriously though I was looking at the suction hose rather than the return hose. Good news is in that case that for the people who have a aftermarket transmission cooler (Should be most of NICO) then all you need is the 3/8ths filter. I bought one for $16 shipped then I went to a Aamco Transmission shop and bought another one for $12. Aamco is THE worst transmission shop I have ever seen!!! Well I have only...

WRONG IN MY BOOK! Any aftermarket item that changes the oem look is VIP..............aftermarket wheels are VIP, plastic sunroof air dam shield is vipish. When you define oem PURITY you cannot even make tiny compomises. Just because something is common in one area doesn't mean it is not VIP. If someone wants to use a vehicle in a different than designed method [driving with windows down and not using HVAC] that's VIP since there was...

How replace door glass on 05 Q45
Published (2009-12-03 19:57:00)
I have never removed a window on either of my Q45s and have no experience with any of the newer years, but I have pulled the front windows on both of my trucks. I assume the process is similar. Unbolt the window from the regulator, rotate it sideways, and gently get it out. My trucks have been substantially simpler door wise (manual locks, mirrors, and windows) - but I suspect it's pretty much the same process. Does the 05 have the...

The easiest way (without prohibitive legislation) to outlaw something has always been to make using it more difficult, "allowing" people to make their own decisions. This can even be seen in the first century with state leaders charging a head tax to those wishing to practice their own religions (for instance, followers of Muhammad in 7th century Saudi Arabia). It wasn't always outlawed to practice freely - but it became quite...

thanks for the input, most helpful, looks like i m going to be pulling the plenum AGAIN, i started it to run motor for abit as it was not used in nearly 2 weeks injectors # 3 and 5 are now out of spec, engine light is on - ugh! going to fix that too, so this particular Q45 gets the prize for the most pampered, babied and most unreliable car i ve ever owned, and i wonder why my honda beater has well over 200 K miles on it, maybe i should start...

Do they necessarily have to fix a TSB/ITB? Remember I have the Infiniti warranty on ...

If struts have over 40K, then I would say no deal on labor alone. Total front suspension rehabilitation for parts only whould be about $1200, depending.

so ur saying that the EPA is trying to get us to run E15 and they are only stating that 2001 and newer vehicles will only hopefully be safe to run it? u said probably, what is the probably rate that the EPA is stating will be safe? i think instead of trying to get rid of injected cars, they should try to get rid of carberated cars and trucks, doesnt that seem logical? but then again that was a...

Welcome to Nico . Have you checked the fuse yet? That may sound silly but you have to start with the easy stuff first. A bad fuse will sink the Q like the titanic. Let's start with that.

thats pretty good especially for Q45, and not bad as far as rotors go... assuming centric rotors are good quality (not sure?) thats a money price.

1. and 2. are not available before certain VIN numbers. 4. is a do go unless you want to spend more bucks than your friend on a an Impul 5.4L engine, which will cost you more than $34K. Check Marksports thread on his super charger project. Brembos for the front are available, but you are on your own for hte rear.

I would suggest you study automotive engineering, as "got stuck" is not an educated response. Failure to clean TB periodically is an owner caused problem. Anyway almost every modern [2000+] car now has electronic controlled TB to integrate and simplify traction control and cruise. Obvioulsy human ability to think under stress and switch to neutral varies, but DARWIN proved the fittest survive...

Download and read the FSM. Suggest you consider doing the entire under plenum job and be done for another 100K. Guess it all depends on what the car is worth to you .

Nothing 100% confirmed about a redesigned Q coming out. The new M should be a nice treat though.

Thats right up for sale are my 05 06 Q45 headlights. These have the newer look and light up a little differently then 02-04 headlights I believe. I am selling to free up some of my extra parts and turn into cash towards this winters projects. These lights are great for anyone with an 02-04 Q45 looking to update their front end a little.
