It's good to know that you are taking good care of your car. Some people tend to ignore a failing O2 sensor which could be very expensive in the long run (eventual 'cat' failure). Did you use OEM O2 sensor the first time it was replaced? It's too early to fail within 15K miles. The best pricing for OEM or quality O2 sensor is from "NGK.com," a.k.a. "sparkplugs.com."

Test drove a ford hybrid two weeks ago. They actually dont want you parking in the sun (they DIDNT say it would weaken the battery but gee hint hint!)

Thought about that, but ruled it out because it only does it under acceleration. If I take my foot off the gas the shake goes away even at 70mph. I only have the shake at higher speeds under acceleration.

The Audi A8 has solar panels in the roof for the purpose of powering climate control to keep the cabin cool when parked in the sun. Just food for thought.

I am not a brake expert, but I have changed a few in my days. First check to see if the e-brake had tension in it when you lift the handle. If it does not then check the rear brakes and trace the e- brake line to make sure it has not rusted and broken from the rear. If you don't use it often they will rust, seize and break. If the line is not rusted or broken then check the the the shoes and ...

It's not a good idea to ignore the CEL. A bad O2 sensor may cause your engine to run rich and eventually destroy the catalytic converter (OEM 'cat' is very expensive). You can easily get a free scan from Autozone and the likes and they will even give you a printout of the trouble codes. The fault code you got is non-existent. A fault code has 4 digits. If you are using the built in diagnostic ...

Welcome to NICO! The Ignition Switch must be at ON/ACC position to power the cigarette lighter. A solar battery charger may seem like a good idea but in my opinion, I would rather invest on a good quality battery - Enersys Oddysey battery or Sear DieHard Platinum (@ $200 or more). Optima batteries used to be top notch but quality has gone down since factory moved south. Even regular flooded -...

I would only be concerned if the shift itself takes abnormally long (as in there's a delay between gears). 2200rpm is pretty low for a shift. The transmission is definitely not designed to always shift that early. Shift behavior is influenced by throttle position in several ways, so driving behavior will impact shift points. Also, when ambient temperatures are particularly cold (say under 40 ...

OEM and quality O2 sensors typically last 100K miles. However, mishandling during installation, such as dropping it, will drastically reduce its lifetime. Also, oil and coolant contamination (due to engine leak), exhaust leak and road grime can degrade the O2 sensor performance. A universal O2 sensor, if not properly spliced, eventually leads to poor connection and O2 sensor failure.

Welcome to NICO. I guess it could be a problem with the trans, not really sure. Do you have any warning lights on/over drive light flashing? Is the shaking in any gear above 2000rpm or only in over drive?

Welcome to NICO. You can find directions on removing in starting on page BT-29. http://www.nicoclub.com/FSM/i30/2001/bt.pdf Once the control unit is out, you'll need to open it up (a couple screws in back, I believe). Once you get into it, just match up the bulbs/LEDs that need to be replaced. Sorry I don't have any part numbers for you.

i'm no expert on the '07 but it sounds like a short or jumpy fuse :-/. if I were u I'd start by disconnecting the negative terminal for 10mins, then checking all the related fuses...radio, doorlocks, window motors, dash lights, etc.

According to the directions in the Chilton's manual, it will not be easy. It goes something like this: Evacuate A/C system. Drain the cooling system. Disconnect negative battery cable. Disconnect heater hoses from heater core and remove rubber grommets from the heater core. Disconnect A/C lines and rubber grommets. Release clip that hold water control cable, push cable through firewall. Remove ...
