weird electical issues

I have no idea to be honest but I assume this all worked fine before you replaced the assembly right? But I would retrace my steps or follow the service manual really good. I would help you more but I have my own electrical problem to deal with and I don't want to get distracted, Sorry.

Yes! That is the same circuit I am looking at. The problem is the fuse under the dash is fine and the circuit is getting voltage up to that point. It is losing voltage at some point after the fuse but before the radio/clock/temperature control and power antenna. The horn is on the same circuit and working fine. The diagrams do not show any other fuses or relays after the fuse in the dash. I'd like to know if there are any likely points...

how are the injectors on it? if they are in ok shape and if you take them out when you get the car back how much would you want for them and possibly the metal brakets that go over them?

Transmission Problem
Published (2009-11-04 12:50:00)
Well I took it into the transmission mechanic and they said they couldn't find anything wrong with the car. They said they test drove it 5 times and couldnt find anything. The guy seems to think it is electrical in some way, but the only to find out is to do diagnostics on it that they charge $70/hour. Any thoughts on what it might be? They said the revolution sensor cleared out, so that isnt the problem either.

Please help, J30 still...
Published (2009-11-06 09:46:00)
Okay, so I troubleshooted my J30. Pretty sure my problem was the Radiator Fan relay. It was missing, but in its place was a 30 amp fuse. When I re attach the fuse in the relays place the car starts, but does not turn off. I bought a new relay for it, placed it in, but it will not start. So, what would be the problem? ANY HElP PLEASE!!!

Fuel pressure regulator leaking,...
Published (2009-11-08 09:08:00)
I don't know if my original short hose that was under the Fuel Pressure Regulator was out of round when I first noticed the leak, but I replaced it anyway. I replaced it because the top of the hose had some small cracks in it and I thought it was causing the leak. Now, from changing the regulator yesterday, the new hose was causing the leak again--which makes me believe that the Fuel Pressure Regulator was not working to begin...

Did you replace the antenna or the entire assembly? If you replaced the antenna assembly with a non OEM one then your bound to have problems. But make sure that you plugged the grounds in.

Usually it just means your power steering fluid is low. If that's not the case then you have an issue with the rear steering.

So they put a fuse in place of a relay? If the above is true then that's messed up and I would assume you have more problems down the road. If you replaced the fuse with a relay then is should start. But I think you need to see an electrician.

Try looking in the Infiniti parts section for anyone parting out a J30. There is also Infiniti Of Scottsdale: http://www.infinitipartsusa.co...id=55 . Or the Junkyard if the car had low millage or you can try repairing it too.

Quote, originally posted by NJ93J30 ยป I just bought my 93 J30 210,200 miles 5 days ago for a crazy great price $800 You know you said 210,200 THOUSAND MILES? Whats wrong with OEM wheels...they were made for the car? I sugest you find great tires (Michelin) and replace the injectors and enjoy the car. But what kind of service history do you have? Welcome to NICO.

When you put your key into the ignition and turn it to the first position, can you hear the fuel pump prime? Have you checked your alternator? Do you know if it is an OEM Nissan one or a problematic aftermarket one?

Was any damage done to the radiator ?? The lower quarter of the radiator is the OEM transmission cooler. If that was crimped you could be starving the tranny. Not good at all !!! Not trying to scare ya .. Could also be a linkage issue.

Put the key in the passenger or drivers door or even the trunk and unlock it. The car should start and the alarm should go off. How did you lock the car with the key in the ignition? Usually the doors can't be locked with the keys in the ignition the ignition is not turned on. Welcome to NICO.
