i think im just gonna go to autozone and check out there filters and measure that way lol Quote, originally posted by meminto » Measure yours to make 100% sure, the detail in the diagram is all aftermarket, it was more to give you an idea of the position of the reg in relation to the flow direction of the fuel.. Dirty Valves from butterfly system?
Published (2009-12-18 14:57:00)
next time I pull my intake manifold off the head I will see how things are coming along with the PCV valve plugged. If the valves behind the butterflies are still mucked up, it will be safe to say that the oil is being pulled from the valve stem seal as d-stirls has suggested. if this does happen to be the case, I think I will drill a few small holes in each butterfly to alleviate the vacuum that is created behind it.

Rocking SSAC kit (pretty much the same thing as godspeed) for over 2 years, no problems, and many around here use similar setups with good results. I'd recommend you get the S14 SR20DET kit if you can. Best fit mainly due to cold pipe shape. Got mine for $250+sh back then, dunno whats the best deal right now tho. Oh, and use the search, there is a pretty detailed thread with good info on most ebay items.

go to home depot, Lowes, or equivalent and get a Brass T with 1/8" ports and two hose barb fittings to put on the sides. Use thread sealant on all threads and install pressure sensor.

The knock sensor for the CA18DET should be much cheaper than $300. I was quoted around 100ish last year when I was looking into prices. Luckily my original one still works. It's the same among the VG30DETT and the CA18DE(and a few others I don't remember at the moment). I can call my local dealers and find out how much exactly if you're curious.

i guess the ARP 202-4702 is the part number for the European CA18. To make an aftermarket (Metal Head Gasket) seal properly, be sure that both surfaces (block and head) have been decked and are level. I've also heard/experienced that the sockets get a little suck on the camshaft when installing, atleast mine did when removing. I think it was Float_6969 that said this, and that the remedy was to...

Yes. Post pictures. If the engine is on a stand, turn it over, remove the pan, and post a picture. That will tell us for sure.
