I wanted to also mention that if a splice is the problem there is a little device called "Any Circuit" (Purchased at Autozone) and it allows you to tap in to the fuse box inside the car. Our Fuse boxes have extra ports for accessories and this allows you to run an independent circuit with its own fuse. Good luck man!

Pulling to left after rear brake...
Published (2009-12-20 19:05:00)
When I originally read the post I made an assumption (probably incorrectly) that the pull to the left was when you brake. So my question to Jamie76 is ... does it pull to the left only when you brake? If the answer is yes then there is something going on with the brakes.

It could be piston slap. its when the piston is too small for the bore (usually in performance engines) and the piston skirt slaps the side of the bore because of the two points of rotation the wrist pin and the crankshaft the piston has to go straight up the bore while the rod tries to push it hard into the outer wall of the bore. The manufacturer usually puts a teflon coating on the piston skirt to dampen the noise, my friend heard from a...

Maybe its just a coincidince that the oil issue started right after the test pipe install, hope it does'nt happen to me lol...anyway, all of the oil additives are generally trash in my opinion...all they are is a very thick motor oil basically...alot of the companies that used to make the stuff...slick 50, dura lube etc...are no longer in business for a reason, or they have just changed the name of the product due to lawsuits and whatnot...

How long is break-in period? Not over 4000 rpms for 3500 miles? Anybody old school and say let the piston rings seat at the rpms you will be driving it at (aggressively)? For the record, I did break it in correctly when I first got it....

Does your car require 91 octane fuel? If you have some bad has or low octane gas this could be early detonation. Or a host of other things. Can you tell me where exactly the noise is coming from?

This is out of my league, but have you tried to hook up the factory ECU and seeing what happens. I would like to know more about the build though. I wouldn't run it on factory ECU long but it might help in the process of elimination. Something may not be wired correctly. I had serious issues with my S13 because the Power FC wasn't wired correctly In for Llare's response to this

I still had a bubble in my line when I did a brake job on my truck a long time ago & it pulled. They might not have bled the brakes good enough.

Mmmm..... don't know but ! If I sit idling with the AC on then I am at about 1k RPM on the tacho. If I sit idling with the AC off then it is about 650. If I sit with the steering wheel off center, no AC, I get a different reading. Other combination's such as main lights ON/OFF ... with/without AC seem to alter the idle speed ....... which is correct! You made a change to your car..... and ...
