Has the light ever come on? Have you tried opening the dash and seeing where the wires lead to? It kinda looks like a security or alarm light to me but not sure either.

here's a
wiring diagram for your convenience.
I put a voltimeter between the b/w wire that feeds from the wiring web to the solenoid, and the positive terminal on the battery and had a friend crank it. Nothing showed up.
sound like a familiar problem to anyone?
where can i check for another problem? please help!

CV boots maybe? MY best advise would be to have it checked out by a mechanic.

I usually go to eBay and search around. you can get each headlight for around $25 i think. search around this site which isn't much more than it'd cost to buy it from someone and have them ship it...and they're brand new. that's what I'd do anyway.

I have the same situation. I have replaced tons on my car putting off that upper
chain tensioner. There is a sticky that has the step by step instruction on how to change it. As I see it, since the chain is loose the timing is all over the place. Although my car runs fine (compare to how it was before I had tons of replacement parts), mpg is horrible, 12city, about 27hwy. I know it could do...

I drilled a hole in the top piece (socket) and ran a screw through it and tapped it into the knuckle underneath to form a
pivot point. Been that way for almost 3 years I think.

Just change the bulb anyway, shouldn't be more than $2.00, that way you'll know for sure. Otherwise your fuel sending unit might be on the way out.
