If anyone has played Sonic and the Golden Rings, then you know that the games are seriously bad now. It would not be a good move on Nintendo's part to integrate Sonic into their line-up.

I do have just a bit more faith in nintendo than i did before. With Red Steel 2, the new Zelda and Sin And Punishment 2 all coming out on the Wii, most of them possibly coming out next year, theymay be turning back to their roots. Plus i think that the new Mario Galaxy is going to be more what the origional should have been, harder. Myamoto specifically said that it is going to be harder and i welcome that. And as long as its good i dont care...

I actually first started playing video games on the PC, my first ever console was the Nintendo 64. And after that I became a console gamer.
The only reason I'm not much of a PC gamer is because my computer can't run many games these days. :P

Seriously. i am a fan of both, and everyone seems to compare these 2 franchises which are COMPLETELY different! The ONLY thing they have in common is an armor clad protagonist. Sure, the prime series is first person, but still! Halo is an action filled shooter that is mostly about blowing crap up. Metroid is an exploration game about solving environmental hazards using equipment you must find. ...

You forgot Super Metroid and Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island.

Nope. I actually tried that one out and didn't like it.
I just noticed now that the dev asks people to make a small contribution to support the theme, which is actually illegal.

I'm not exactly sure this is going to end all the bad-mouthing, as you say. Perhaps it will only exacerbate it. When you look at the amount of first-party support the DS got, and you look at the IPs Nintendo currently hasn't announced anything for (including Kid Icarus, Mother, Starfox, and Kirby), it gets a little depressing.
