Can we have multiple entries for multiple categories, or do we have to pick and choose and submit one per person? Like, say, I write a
Bulwer-Lytton one-liner, and three lines of a potential Fantasy epic... can I enter both?

QUOTE (Antilla @ 27 Oct 2009, 06:42 PM) Do the repeated number
of syllables in corresponding lines of each grouping adhere to any specific style? I was wondering the same. Whatever it is, I like the effect. Also, I've found that people tend to like you anyway Two weeks now... (I take it she doesn't count dad as a scary response)

Iceheart @ 13 Sep 2009, 08:51 AM) Plus - I fully respect Jaycie's not wanting her kids to read this series too young. Because shouldn't it be the parent that makes the individual determination and informed decision as to which books their children are ready for? For me, a school ban would have meant I'd read it at home, especially if my parents were okay with me reading the...

Well Santa just appeared wearing
spectacles, an apron and a name badge from Borders. He asks you what books you want for Christmas-- what do you tell him? What books do you want right now that you just can't justify buying? Maybe it's a book your library won't carry. Maybe it's a hardback from your favorite author and you're being frugal. Maybe it's a million paper back books that ...

Copper/Cashmere, you guys can move this if you feel the need, but first listen to my justification for posting it here: I don't post anywhere else because I got fed up with all the other boards and frankly the only people I care to associate with are IN Book Club. So the subject of my post is this - the
Ain't Nothin But a Thang one.

LOTR spoilt me for most other sword 'n sorcery stuff, but I do have eight books of Robert Jordan's Wheel of Time, been working my way through that series for a while. I do have some
Raymond E Feist books and Ursula LeGuin's classic Earthsea trilogy, that was my first fantasy purchase

Good luck, Icy! I'm still working on The
Dark is Rising . It's taken a back seat to the story I'm writing.

Cashmere @ 22 Sep 2009, 09:52 AM) I picked up a few American Girls books just to see if I remember them. If it's Kirsten, Samantha or Molly, they'll most likely ring bells. If it's Felicity or Addy, there's a good chance you'll remember those, as well. Anything past Josephina, you'll probably wonder wtf these came from... it's not you, it's them, they're newer to the ...
