Well I've got it working for the most part except I get no sound effects. Music works fine, but no sound effects.

You can play strife... You can run it in Vavoom. It also has a few 3d models, & high rez textures for it. Thanx, MV P.S. Strife support in jdoom would be sweet, but DooM is still my fav. There is just one version, there is no seperation of 2-d and 3-d versions of the engines. And yes it will work. As long as you have the .WAD files you can use doom ports, which of course the steam version provides. In fact you can just go to the directories of any of your doom engine games (I don't own the steam versions but I'm going to take a guess they're probably in C:\Program Files\Steam\Steamapps\Common\) and then you can...

Where to get addons?

Where I can get the latest versions of jDRP, jDUI and jDEP? files.dengine.net is "currently unavailable", so I'm getting 404s on all of the links I've been able to find. Are there any mirrors? I'm using doomsday and DHTP for the first time, and I'm amazed at what the community's been able to do with one of my favorite games of all time!

I put it in c:\doomsday and it seems to be working OK. The inability to uninstall (Even if I delete the folder it's been installed to, it still shows up in the update box in the installer, so there are at least some lingering reg entries) is still kind of irritating though.

Goto HUD-Options in the 1.9.0-betas and you can enable the face in the fullscreen HUD (it appears in the bottom center of the screen though). I'll add an option to have it drawn instead of the health pack item.

I need some help with all aspects of Doomsday. First off, how come the sticky "Read this first" points to a site that is dead? "Bandwidth Limit Exceeded" In the past and now I have always not been able to see that site. Maybe I just catch it at the wrong time. Anyways, I have a ton of questions as nothing seems to work for...

To hear music in addon you need: Install hexen, install hexen deathkings addon(this patch your hexen to 1.1 automatically), and after that you need to path your hexen deathkings to 1.1 version too. use it patch -> ftp://ftp.idsoftware.com/idstuff/hexen/dkpatch.zip more look here -> ftp://ftp.idsoftware.com/idstuff/hexen/
