Did you only change the liftbolts (as in old liftbolts out, new ones in) or did you do the TSB method?

the regulator is a small chingadara inside the fuel filter assembly. its fairly a static device. chances are it dont break. the pump might be failing and im always a supporter of the walboro 255 pump. my rail kit is 450.00 shipped. it comes with the rail, new feed line, and all fittings necessary.

Ya I bought the clutch kit. It was only 119 at autozone and came with a new pressure plate clutch disk and throwout bearing. I did the ol sharpie trick. The kit came with the alignment tool also. So on aligning the clutch you torque the plate down and use the tool to slide in and out of the hole and the transition should be smooth??

If the fuel pressure is low could a faulty pump cause that? I thought the pump would just go out kinda like on my F350, but they are completely different though. I had the pump out Saturday and looked it over. It didnt look bad but it is very loud though. Its stock so I know it shouldnt be loud. The regulator looked fine but thats not saying anything though since I cant see the actual working parts of it on the inside.

the timing chain tensioner fixed the excessive rattle, they said my chain was really loose. and all the codes are gone. i still get a noise though. i think it could still be the cam gear, and when i unplugged the ocv the noise didnt go away because of the rattle from the timing chain. i'm going to unplug the ocv in a little bit and hope that the noise goes away and it will give me a spring project

you should be ok with reusing the gaskets as long as you clean them pretty good and the surface you reapply them to. the only thing you would prolly have to replace would be any type of a seal if you put new ones in

Check the back of the headlights, make sure your round rubber pieces that go around the lightbulb housing is in place. If these rubber sealers are loose or installed incorrectly moisture and accumulate inside the headlight at low temperatures or even after a wash.

did you do a heat cycle when you redid the motor. Pretty much ran the motor after being torque to spec, wait for it to get hot and run it around a bit, then re ttorque them again. And its possible it might be getting coolant in the cylinders if the head bolts were loose. Intake might be the problem since its the first version. But best thing to do is make sure your getting spark, ...

first of you don't launch at 7k and your clutch is really hot right now. Let it cool off and hopefully you didn't mess it up by trying to do it a few more times after it wouldn't grab!

just drive it normally for a few days, prob 20+ miles/day and it should reset all monitors to ready. it took a few days for my car to reset after i cleared a code with an engine reader. but if it was three months ago and the car was driven regularly since then, that would seem like some other problem.

A slipping clutch can be found like this... Cruising along, lets say in 3rd at 30mph or so. Step on the gas a good amount, like say you want to pass a big rig or something. You see the RPM's start shooting up, but the car isn't moving any faster. Your clutch slipped, replace it. __________________ Travis 2000 GTS 6-spd Spec ...
