Only just come accross this thread, but thought I would mention an article I saw in the Independent on Sunday on 29th November 2009. It seems wholesalers and manufacturers are profiteering by selling certain drugs (including Femara) for export, thus creating a shortage for pts in the UK. I live in Essex and on Friday my pharmacy could not fill my prescription for Femara I only received nine tablets, I have been on this drug since June having been transferred from tamoxifen which I was prescribed in 2006. I thought I would google and see if others were having problems. I now see its obviously a problem within the UK, which is very worrying. I have telephoned my consultant and am waiting for him to respond. I just wonder what...

As I see you have posted in cancer forum so you are scared that it can be cancer related? Do you have any pain while on the toilet? What about your diet? Are you eating hot spices? If you are too worried you should see a doctor. Hi new to this site just wondered if anyone has any ideas or opinions on my Mums situation. Mum was diagnosed with bowel cancer in May 2008 and swiftly operated on -had massive surgery removing a lot of bowel and other things and resulting in a colostomy.She coped very well and made an amazing recovery albeit interspersed with radiotherapy which did not agree with her at all. She was determined to have a reversal as she hated the colostomy...

Hi further to my entry recently I am adding this to tell you that I contacted my breast cancer nurse and she gave me the phone number of the suppliers to give directly to my chemist with the instruction that they are to ring them and the suppliers will sent supplies out within 24 hours to your chemist. I did this and I now have my supply for this month. Just hoping I dont have the same ...

Hi Guys, This is Stephen, the p16 gene already exists in humans! It's a well known tumour suppressor gene that is often mutated in a number of cancers (and that is how it was first discovered).

hi you have to think positive hi was told back in november that i did not have cancer to cut a long story short they told me one month a go 2 take each day as it comes im 45 have 2 kids 8 and 10. in my mind this will not beet me im here for a long time yet so tell her not to lie down to it .it is not what you have it is learnig to live with it
