Failure to do so results in Component Installation failure. Well I just install the recommended settings so i don't see why it shouldn't be connected. How come it didn't give this error for vista? It shows the right icons for the Avermedia Volar x DVT-T tuner, Xbox, Lifecam VX-3000, and monitor here. It does show the printer as well, but it looks nothing like it

Please answer the following: You have tried an alternative monitor but did you try using a different connection method? (I have seen one PC fail because of a connector) Does the driver appear to install fine - or does it give you any errors. Next... Quote - (Yak @ Nov 30 2009, 07:45) I've had mine on top because I used to use the Atari ST and it kinda stuck with me. And yes, it is bloody annoying, the way I get round it is right click the task-bar, deselect 'Lock the task-bar' which makes the app jump down the screen showing just enough of its task-bar to allow you to move it somewhere else. I then reselect 'Lock the task-bar'...

I had a somewhat similiar problem, running a dell inspiron 1100 with a stuck resolution of 480x640. I just fixed it by installing dells driver for XP and running it in compatability mode. You all seem more technically inclined than me, so I'm assuming your problem is worse. Hope I helped.
