between the switch and the router you will have to put in a hub and attach your pc to it. once it is attached you can use any sniffing software to figure out bandwidth usage by client. (wireshark for example).

Consider yourself lucky lol My connection has dropped about have a meg these last few days but has hopefully settled down now. Still really happy with it thought - around 4-5mb is about the best you can get in my area. Attached image(s)

If its just a tracking cookie it was probably a 3rd party cookie obtained from a banner ad. As far as the facebook strangeness, change your password.

I've been in with friends as backup because they've bought laptops from there and need help arguing about repairs. and I tend to walk by sales people trying to trap customers with BS, then once they are "thinking about it" i interrupt and give them better advise. Lol Last week on my lunch break i went into PC world...

Quote - (JohnnyK @ Nov 17 2009, 04:41) THanks. Unfortunately, nothing even close to that hostname is in my hosts file, so my issue might be different. THank you for your help though! EDIT: It's definitely not my hosts file; I cleared it out and flushed DNS and still could not log in at godaddy. Weird. I would try GoDaddy support. While it took them a few days to figure out my problem, they did eventually solve...

My problem is that my home wireless network is not detected by my pc which is using an Trendnet TEW-624UB Wireless N USB Adapter. It does detect other SSID's in my area as well as the ssid of a wifi cable modem at my home. And is able to connect to that cable modem without any problems. My home Router is a Dlink DIR-655, which is configured to broadcast SSID and I can connect to my wifi ...

First off, I doubt it would be something related to O2, but since I don't even live in England or have them, I can't say for sure. Logic would say though that if it was with them, you would hear about it from other O2 users. Do they have a support forum, or tech support group you can ask in regards to this issue to see if others are having the same issue? What browser are you using? I am...

If you want a wave invite in this thread do the following: 1. Request/post your email. 2. Eventually someone will hopefully hook you up. Thanks. I would like an invite if anyone has ...

Brute force should get that quite easily, as a decent bruce force would try word sequences both with and without spaces. I still maintain that the best way is to look away from the keyboard and type £Kfm3£K*[&sdf1DF I then negate this entire security process by writing it down (But it is stored in my safe, which your average wannabe hacker doesn't have access to)...

Alot of university put example assignments on there websites however most only put it on their internal intranet so you won't be able to access them. I know my university puts it on the intranet and you need to login to view them.

^ I don't know, nor would that explain his problem -- why don't you get in your time machine and go back to 2007 and ask him his problem would seem to be related his routers firewall if you ask me.. False positives blocking legit traffic would of been my guess. You got to love how his router thinks it was 2002 as well

You are probably just further away from the exchange at your new house compared to your old. What does samknows.com estimate the line speed to be at at old and new house? I can't comment much on the i-plate, I didn't bother, as like you, I removed the ring wire knowing that the i-plate does the same functionality. Having the ring wire there caused as much as 100 sync dropouts per evening ...

Not really sure about any of those questions, but based on what you're asking, don't you think you'd be better off sticking with Gmail?
